There are plenty of ways to make money online, you just have to seek them out and make sure you do your research to find out what is good and what is not. Look under my profile picture.

Tricked into buying something first.  How do you mean?  Like starting your own business and need a product to sell?  Or rewards sites that pay you a percentage of signing up to memberships, or to shop online through their site and try to get referrals.  (affiliated marketing)?  If that's not what you are looking for there are sites that pay to post on there site.  With many rules. Or if you are looking for a job that you get a regular paycheck from a company that enables you to work from home?  They are out there also.  Or maybe you want to get paid to shop?  That's also legit as are the rest.  I have only been burnt once and it didn't cost me any-thing but a little bit of my time before they didn't do what they promised.  Other than that, I have done everything that I listed and was paid for it, including buying something first.  I know am running a home-based business. I still do pt sites-ptp sites and surveys site, shopping sites ect.  I also still mystery shop when I can.  I have became my own boss.

Try signing up for as many survey companies as you can. Try part-time jobs. Try hiring yourself out to do chores or working with construction companies or contractors doing demolition. Crummy as it is fast food jobs can be an alternative. Working at the cinema movies are free. Museums and security companies. That's all I can think of right now. I hope things go well for you. You can also turn a hobby into a business.
