Status is strictly based on the number of posts you have made in the forum. There is no monetary bonus attached to it. That said, here is the breakdown:

TITLE--------------------STARS--------------------POSTS

Newbie                             1                                 1 - 49
Jr Member                         2                                50 - 99
Full Member                       3                               100 - 239
Sr Member                        4                                250 - 500
Hero Member                     5                                501 - 749
Elite Member                     6                                750 - 999
Silver Member                   7                                1000 - 1999
Gold Member                     8                                2000 +

If you make above 30 posts per month for the $3/mo forum posting bonus, you'll soon rise in rank. It's a good rule of thumb to make your posts meaningful or to add to the discussion in some way. No problem. Note that I just moved up from Elite status to Silver. I can tell you that it gives you a nice warm glow to see your new status as well as another star by your username when you cross each threshold.  8)

Only twenty more posts and you'll move up to Jr Member status and get a second star by your name. How cool is that? :thumbsup:
