This is a loaded question that I will not even begin to answer.

Everyone is entitled to their own believes -- this topic is better left to
us keeping our beliefs to ourselves in this type of forum

I find it ironic that those that profess to believe in god , preach of peace . and follow the ten comandments.  however some of the largest atrocities in history  were conducted  in the name of god..  The Crusades, the inquisition.  we also have to consider when the christians brought religon  to america.  how dare those savages that lived here first with their gods..  so they slaughtered them..  I for one find it comical that god would allow all of these killings in his name...  also man was given a mind so he could question things and create. and when he does he is sent to hell for doing so, does not make sense.

I know , god does not have rule over free will.. when a man commits evil, (by the way conveinently god did not create evil. unless you follow the king james translation.) the man commmited evil from his own free will and god had nothing to do with it.. but flip that coin and when someone commits an act of kindness it is no longer free will most call it gods will.. if you are going to take credit for one, then should take credit for the other.  (its either free will or gods will)

so lets just all go with the pink unicorn with the guidelines written by chuck norris...

As an aside, a female friend e-mailed me with the suggestion that the pink unicorn was a euphemism for a personal massager in which she has a great deal of 'faith'; to which I replied "blasphemy!" (and she laughed in response).

LOL!!! LOL!!! OMG that's TOO funny!  I'm guessing she feels the magic of the glitter and love of it's embrace!!
Something like this maybe?
 :star: :) :D :star:;D :star: :star: :o :o  :o :o:heart: :star: :star:  :D:thumbsup: :) :peace: ;)

I guess I could have faith in a pink unicorn like that, too....

For certain gifts this year, I must remember this; batteries, batteries, batteries.

Ohhhh...YES! YES! YES!  :P  :-[

I can't WAIT to read the posts you're probably going to get in response to this...I'm sure someone will fully explain to us why or how god would or could allow this.  Especially when god is touted as being wonderful, loving, or "good", as is done here:

Believing in something good is what kept this society sane. God was supposed to be a symbol of hope
I have a wonderful God and He is amazing!!!
God is the number one scientist, doctor, physicist.....
...He is there to lean on and have faith in and He is always there to talk to when we need a shoulder.
...GOD (who by the way has an excellent sense of humor)
(License to kill provided...in the name of "good"?  By a number one scientist, doctor, physicist, a wonderful amazing God, god who is there to lean on and have faith in, and who has an excellent sense of humor.
Whaaat??  Excellent sense of humor?  Ohh yeah all those horrible things abdyer2001 brought up...funny. SO funny.
(Well if you're a believer, I guess....)

and then of course there's THIS...my personal favorite..
God loves us all whether we believe in him or not.
(Yeah? Oh, all except for "those savages" who weren't christians......I guess?)
I'm sure someone will have the answer - so we TOO can understand how this could possibly be the plan of a good and loving god

also man was given a mind so he could question things and create. and when he does he is sent to hell for doing so, does not make sense.
Nope you're right...no sense to that whatsoever.  I bet somebody will clear this up for us, too! Although, from what I'm reading, it's apparently all about the "need-to-know"....
..I know some will argue then what does God come from... Well, for me it's easy to see that we are not meant to know where God comes from, who made him, etc.

the man commmited evil from his own free will and god had nothing to do with it.. but flip that coin and when someone commits an act of kindness it is no longer free will most call it gods will.. if you are going to take credit for one, then should take credit for the other. (its either free will or gods will)
That only seems logical-I agree.  But...that's goes against what they've always spewed, as one of their most basic who/what/why "Creator" stories.  Okay I bet we get a good explanation about this too!

so lets just all go with the pink unicorn with the guidelines written by chuck norris...
YES!! Count me in!!
I like Chuck Norris a lot.
I like the pink unicorn a lot, too....and just recently I've grown even fonder of it, because I've been looking at it in a whole new way....

Do you think we could ask Chuck to bring us batteries?  We'll probably want to have plenty of batteries, I think....

People who think there is no God should NOT celebrate Christmas, why do they receive x-mas gifts?

Because of ancient winter solstice celebrations. Not your god. Seriously, do some *bleep* research.

You can lead a horse to water however, if you hold the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

I love it when people bring up all the atrocities made in the name of God,and conveniently fail to mention the greatest atrocity in the last 100 years was the Holocaust, caused by Hitler's Darwinian beliefs. ::)

Also lets be fair in in giving credit where due.Christianity has led to more positives than any other religion. The end of Slavery, equal rights for woman and many charitable organizations to help the needy just to name a few.So do a little research of your own, before considering Christianity a blight on humanity.

your right,o lets give credit where due. there have been more killed in the name of god than there have in the name of anything else. correct hitleer killed many in his quest to create the perfect human race.  but guess we can just rewrite the history b ooks like the bible so we can readjust what was originally written. because hitlers words were probably just mis interpreted. I mean thats why the bible that was that was "written word by god" is able to be rewritten (new testament, king james)  man has commited atrocities. but we can also say man has done good.  but that brings me to my point. if god is taking credit for the good that is done by man. then he also needs to take credit for the atrocities commited by man - that includes the holocaust. (free will or gods will  you dont get both.

Preliminary research has failed to produce any evidence supporting your claim that xtianity "led to" such things as you asserted.  Unless you've got some non-religious references to substantiate these claims, they must be considered to be specious.

Don't expect any. He likes to read his Kirk Cameron baby books, scream his nonsense, and then run away like a coward who can't debate or discuss. Typical ignorant christian.
