All the wonders around us are accidental.
No Almighty hand made a thousand-billion stars.
And what would be so horrible about this reality, exactly?
No power keeps them on their steady course.
"Steady course"? What about asteroids, comets, and meteors?
"No power"? Uh, ever hear of the laws of physics?
The earth spins itself to keep the oceans from falling off, towards the sun.
That is a really dumb, unscientific statement. Sorry.
Infants teach themselves to cry when they are hungry or hurt.
No they don't. It's called instinct. Because, you know, we're mammals.
A small flower invented itself so that we could extract digitalis, for sick hearts.
The earth gave itself day and night, tilted itself so that we get seasons.
These conditions were by no means crafted for "us", and there's plenty of conditions that work against us if you would only open your eyes.
How about the sugar thermostat in the pancreas?
It maintains a level of sugar in blood sufficient for energy.
There's this disease called diabetes...you may have heard of it...so there goes your theory of an "intelligently designed" body.
Why does snow sit on mountain-tops, waiting for the warm spring sun to melt it, at just the right time for young crops in the farm below to drink?
Please. Ever wonder why MILLIONS die of starvation every day? It's because very little of the earth's land is hospitable to said crops.
The human heart will beat for 70 to 80 years, without faltering.
And heart disease is the number one killer because...? Hello!
Who gave the human tongue flexibility to form words, and a brain to understand them, but denied it to all other animals?
Ignorance, this is. Do you honestly believe that no other animal communicates?!
Who showed a womb how to take the love of two people, and keep splitting tiny ovum until,
in a time,a baby would have the proper number of fingers, eyes, ears and hair in all the right places, and come into the world when it is strong enough to sustain life?
Birth defects, spontaneous miscarriages, rape...sorry to rain on your parade. Also, the infant mortality rate has only improved due to medical
science. Just 100 years ago, many children didn't make it to age 5.
Your post is all very "poetic" but...
wrong.
