I am a Registered Dietitian -- I don't think this is a healthy way to approach weight loss.  even if you do lose this weight this rapidly I would venture to believe it will be nearly impossible to keep it off.  You can lose 90 lbs, but how fast does it take to regain it and more?

You will Not lose 1 lb per day, not gonna happen, so don't put a time limit on it, but you can lose 90 lbs, my daughter has lost 62 lbs and it has been about 10 months now I think.

Losing 1 lb a day can happen. I don't think that would benefit you to lose that much weight that fast.

Hey, good Luck with the weight loss!  :)

It's not healthy to lose that much weight in that little amount of time, plus weight loss numbers and how you look after losing weight don't always correlate. And what I mean by that is you may look significantly smaller without reaching your 90lb weight loss goal.

IMO set your goal of 90 for a year. Set smaller goals through out that year so you don't get discouraged.

The basis of weight loss is burn MORE calories than you consume, it really is that easy. Avoid bad foods/sodas/sweets and EXERCISE!!! Don't waste money on any weight loss pills or gimmics. EXERCISE!!

If you have netflix check out the show "The biggest loser" these people lose 80-120lbs over a 6-9 month person by pure exercise and diet change (as in changing what they consume, not taking some magic pill.)

Start working out and eating right and you'll see results, keep to it and don't cheat yourself!!

I just started losing a little weight a couple of weeks ago, mostly because I had a blood sugar scare when it hit 287 one day. It's back close to normal now and I have lost 7 pounds. An interesting thing I read was how drinking diet soda can slow down weight loss. I understand the main two functions of your liver are to burn fat and filter impurities in your blood, so if you keep it too busy filtering impurities like they put in diet soda (artificial sweeteners) it has less time to burn fat. I'm only drinking water now and I'm beginning to like that.

this is a good tip... I have a hard time giving up diet soda, but I am trying to limit myself to 1 can/day

This would be dangerous if you weighed ninety pounds or less!  I used to do a two week diet before every marathon called the Mayo Clinic diet and was always able to shed twenty pounds but was left an emotional basket case.  Running Ultra-marathons would cause me to lose ten percent of my weight in one day...being two hundred pounds I would lose over twenty pounds in one day but, once agai, I would be emotionally wrecked.  If you are working out and dieting right it shouldn't be impossible.
