On the nights I have trouble sleeping, I usually read or go on-line and play games.

It doesn't happen very often but if I do wake up in the middle of the night. I usually take a melatonin and do stuff online until I get sleepy.

I used to get up and smoke but since I quit, that's out    Now, I just rest until I fall asleep.  Most nights, it's not so bad because my husband keeps talk radio on all night.  Weekends are not good because they play the same stuff that I've already heard

I don't have this problem, but if I did, the only thing I probably would do it watch television.

This doesn't happen to me very often, but when it does I always have a book of some sort on my bedside table, so I just do some reading.

I toss and turn a bit, and if I still can't get calmed down, I get up and either read or get online.  I've spent plenty of nights with very little sleep.

I usually read.  Ocassionally I will get up and get on my computer.  I don't have a t.v. set in my bedroom and I never get up and watch it in another room in the middle of the night.

Sometimes when I can't turn my brain off in the middle of the night I reach for my Kindle and a book light.  I find that if I keep the room still dark and just use the book light I have a better chance of getting back to sleep.

I have my ipod lying on my nightstand.  When I can't sleep I put my headphones in and listen to my music.  Most of the time that does the trick.  Or if my husband is working at night at that time I will read.

first of all after I type such a thought provoking blog, I would hit the spell check atleast once so as not to make me out to be such an idiot..
I would also put in a dvd and watch that.
