Sleep Number/Tempurpedic Beds

I am in the market for a new mattress and I cannot decide between the sleep number and the tempurpedic beds. I've slept on both of them before and they were both fine for the night. My problem when I buy a mattress is that after a few months, it is no longer comfortable and my back starts hurting again. I know they have a 90 day try it out policy, but I just want to pick the right one first and not have to take it back.

Does anyone have either of these kinds of beds? If so, what do you think of them?

I do not currently have this type of bed, but like you I have been looking into getting one. My question is do these 'foam like' mattresses hold heat. I do not want a mattress that is going to make me sweat. And if I do sweat, what happens to the mattress?

 :wave:We've had a king size Tempurpedic for about 9 years now. We like it a lot. Actually I would like to try the Sleep Number bed but can't afford it now...that's for sure.

My husband has serious pain from an injury many years ago and it's good for him.

Handll; sorry just saw your concern. Our Tempurpedic does not hold heat. What we did also is invest a little money in a really good water proof mattress cover that works really well. I think we paid $50-$60 for it when we got the bed apx. 9 years ago. Also, Tempurdpedic beds have a mattress cover as well that you can wash. So with their cover and the xtra one we bought has kept the bed in good shape.
