whats ur oppion on pit bull and bsl

any dog can turn and attack something or some one... i mean i work with dogs all day and i got attacked buy a lab...... the may look big and mean but its whats on the in side that counts. i rescued my puppy out of a banded house and it amazed me to see what happened in there... and that still to day my puppy loves all humans and all animals.... they can learn to for get so why cant some people

I was attacked by more small dogs and cats than big dogs while working at an animal hospital for 5 years. Any animal can be trained to be vicious just like any animal can be trained to be sweet and mild mannered. Pits and some other breeds do get a bad reputation from a few bad dogs

Right and a lot of people thank that fighting is what they were breed for all along when the real real reason the were brought to the united states was to help farmers in the feiled and watch live stock

Totally agree with you guys. My mom's toy poodle bit more people than I can count. I think the problem is when a big dog bites it's more likely to be severe. (the mini poodle never broke the skin on anyone) But my sister had a pit bull that never hurt a soul. He was very big, but was submissive to even small dogs and was a real sweetie. Just like humans, don't judge a book by its cover.

I think it is the dog's nature and upbringing that determine if he is a biter or not.  We had a gentle giant (150 pound rotty/aussie mix) He liked everyone except policemen.  Go figure.  Great with kids and old people especially.
