Have you ever tried to keep a secret?

I am trying to keep a secret, but having a difficult time. I am too honest. I want to blurt it out, but I know it is for the better if I keep my mouth shut for a little while longer and on top of that, I get paranoid that the person already knows.

Unless the person you're keeping the secret from is good mind reader they won't know unless you give it away.

I tell myself secrets all the time, its the keeping them to myself where I have problems!!

Yes, secrets are easy to keep if you are a true friend and as long as the secret want
harm anyone.

Yes, I can keep a secret.  I tell my adult kids that if they know some secret about their workplace and they are dying to tell someone, tell me.  It won't matter if I know about it and it helps them by sharing.

i had to keep a secret from my friend that i was moving until she went to school without me and i was supposed to be in her class but never showed coz i was in a different school district.

I've never had a problem keeping secrets. I guess it's because none of them were really that juicy.

I have accumulated many a secret in my life and have kept them to myself as promised. I have also kept secrets so long that I've forgotten them. Lol I'm still maintaining my word about something, even though they've decided to tell their secret already.

I don't like it when people tell others things about me that I specifically requested be kept between us, and even though this has happened repeatedly to me, I still keep things to myself because it's my feeling that if you want someone to know something then you will tell them yourself (unless you've told another they can say something, or have asked another to say something for you).

I'm a Minister and confidentiality is key. People tell me things that I will take to my grave. The only way I would reveal anything told me in counseling is if it concerned hurting or abusing a child, murder, etc. However, say you robbed a bank and told me about it. I could not, nor would not, reveal that information.....ever. They could pull out my fingernails, and I wouldn't tell. Lawyers are the same way. It's protected conversation.

When people ask me if I can keep a secret I always say 'no'. I do not want to slip up and say anything that the person would be upset about.
