how many kids came to your house for trick or treat?

we have about 30 kids. its fun to see them with there costume. too bad its very cold last night.

We had over a hundred kids based on a combination of kids counted and treats distributed.  Costumes were wide and varied as well as the ages of the trick or treaters.  Personaly I thought the youngest ones were especially cute.  One little girl who must a been about two or three came up hugging her little jack o lantern basket just as tight as she could and you could tell she was scared by us overgrown kids until the candy hit the bottom than she was all smiles and as moma was taking her back down she turned around and ran back for some more treats.

I was horribly disappointed this year with only 2 kids coming to my house trick or treating. 
I just moved to this new town where everyone is generally rich and retired. I noticed that none of my neighbors even bothered to decorate. However, since Halloween is my favorite holiday, I went all out and for only 2 kids.

Our neighborhood has no sidewalks directly in front of our house and is pretty dark even with the street lights on. We quit giving out candy about 3 years ago. Haven't seen children trick or treating in several years here. They go to the big subdivisions that are easily accessible.

I keep my drapes pulled and have never had a trick or treater. I don't even buy candy just in case. It is really not safe to accept food from strangers today. X-rays can find metal, but not spoiled food or poison.

We had no kids to to our door because we have a community get together.

About 3 rang my doorbell, but then again I don't do halloween.  I think its dangerous taking your child from house to house saying trick or treat and getting a treat that may not be safe.

Times have certainly changed since I was little based on many of the responses so far in this topic.

I live in a small town and it is still a fun safe family friendly activity to dress up and go door to door for treats.  Most of the kids do stick close to their own neighborhoods and travel to specific homes (their grandparents or teacher's homes).

Our businesses downtown get into the spirit of Halloween treat giving by having 4-5:30pm designated for the kids to come.  This does cut down on the number of kids who stop by door to door in the residential areas.

None. Our street is a off street so usually we never get any unless it's someone we know.

I was pleasantly surprised by my little grand daughter, she was dressed as a princess with your green light up jelly shoes to match her dress. I was so happy to see her & her mom;-) She was the only one to come.

We had one. Which is odd because we usually don't get any. We live on a busy street so most of the kids are more up the street where there's no traffic.
