smoke breaks!!

The only work force I have ever worked in is Nursing homes, and we always worked it out amungst ourselves. If a couple of us went out and smoked, then when we got back a couple of the others went on a short break. You really need to be freakin adults about instead of throwing a fit about it. Grow up your all grown adults, works things out together. If you take a smoke break when you return ask the person who doesn't smoke if they would like to run and grab a quick break. Team work people. I have heard a lot of complaints on here like highschool complaints. He gets too why can't I. Freakin cry about. Put on your big girl or boy panties, and figure it out.

Smokers taking breaks or additional breaks has never bothered me as long as I wasn't told that I couldn't take breaks when I needed to.  I am not a smoker but I have never bothered to wonder how many breaks smokers take.  Who has that type of time?

People that smoke are broken and need the extra breaks as a crutch to allow them to deal with life. They are pathetic and should be pitied.

It bothers me too.  Is there some unspoken rule that people are allowed more breaks so that they can smoke? Can't they just do it at their lunch break if theyre so addicted

As a smoker, I have NEVER received special treatment at work simply because I'm a smoker. You know how you non-smokers get a 30 minute break for lunch? I don't use it. I split it up into 3 smoke breaks that each last about 10 minutes (usually less). None of my non-smoking co-workers have ever complained about it. As you can see, there is no special treatment going on but there is some handy time management.

If all these smokers are getting more breaks because they smoke, why don't you just decide to say your going to smoke. You don't have to smoke, but you could just say your going to.

At my job we are aloud 2 15 min and a 30 min lunch and that is it. I don't know why we are still on this conversation
