21st century you mean? I think it depends on the person. To people who follow "what's popular" and live through celebrities and materialism probably not.

I think it could mean a lot if you find the right person. You have to be right for each other and be there for each other no matter what or how hard it may be. If you find you're strong enough to get through hard times then you truly love someone. You love them for all their flaws and they don't care about yours because it makes each of you who you are. I think having respect for other people is a sort of love too and that is something that too many people lack in this world, I hate to say it but I see it every day and it's sad to see

I really dont think so but it does depend on the person.  If someone just want company and living with you than I dont believe in it.

LOVE means to love yourself first thats were it starts.  If you don't love yourself then how can you love anyone else.  We are suspose to love like Jesus loved us.

Like the swkstudent said 21st century you mean? I think it depends on the person. To people who follow "what's popular" and live through celebrities and materialism probably not.   You have to be right with yourself inorder to feel love in your life.

Wow, that is an interesting question. Its hard to answer, because so many people have different definitions of what love is. I think the problem is that so many people are changing their definition of love. Does it have to do with commitment, honesty, or just a general good feeling. I think general society seems to be gravitating toward the later, so those who hold love's definition with the former would start to believe that love is losing its place in modern society.

The older I get, I find it means more, but because of the people saying it, not because of the societial changes in any century.
I was lying in bed the other night, looking up at the stars, and thinking, "Where in the heck is my roof?"

I believe people use the word "love" like they change clothes. nowadays, you really dont know who means it and who does not. (then again this is just my opinion guys.)

I personally don't know what "love" is anymore. My relationships usually last for 3 months and the person leaves me for another man. I have no idea what I did wrong or what I done to make the person leave me.

well now if Liz was still living Im sure she could inlighten us all , however this is clearly my outlook on this 21st. Century Love , I am no virgin to relationships , I have found lust all over this world , and the only true love I have encountered is that LOVE OF GOD ...and when we dont have this love first , then we have failed life altogether and this failure will peek its head out sooner if we are lucky and if we are not , many years of trying to love and finding out it was not at all love , i read a post somewhere that said, its better to hurt someone with the truth than hurting them with a lie .
this rings loud and clear , and hands down if Liz could speak to us I so believe she would agree,.
