Dang, I screwed up...
« on: October 08, 2011, 10:05:46 pm »
I was working on "Give us your 2 cents" survey, had to go the the next survey 5 times before I qualified for one, it was for shower heads.  I went through the entire survey, and at the end, it asked me if I could take pics of my showerhead for $3 so I took the pics and went to add the sd card into my computer.  The slot was at the top of my tower desktop just below my power button.  I put the card in, and then stabilized my fingers across the top of the unit to push the card in.........I touched the power button by accident, and not only lost the chance to add the pics, but also killed the survey and did not get credit for it.  Can anyone spell p@ss*d Off.  My day ended up terrible, and then I defeated myself.  Has anything like this ever happened to any of you?

Oh...ya.  I think that's when I would go tuck myself in bed and tell myself that tomorrow...will obviously be...a  better day.

Hang in there!

Sincerely,
Sherry
Have a great day!

I think everyone has done something like one time or another.  I can't recall a pacific time but I know I have done it.  I am really sorry that happened to you that really sucks.  They should have a program so you can go back to that survey just incase something happens so that we get the credit and the survey gets done.

Holy Cow, that sounds awful. It sounds like you should get a different computer case where the power button is placed far away from where you could possibly do the same thing again.

I think anyone who tells you they have never done anything like that is not telling the truth!  LOL Happens to me all the time, the older I get the worse it gets.

I think that that same shower head survey came up for me the other day. I got disqualified more than half the way through, fortunate for me. It sounds like taking pictures would have been just a bit much to expect. Wow, I admire your dedication to the surveys and I am sorry that it didn't work out after all your efforts.

I know the feeling.  I can leave the boys (pet dogs) on the front porch and go inside to get them some fresh water, and then see dishes on counter and start washing them, and then remember I need to come to computer and do fusion cash email and paid to click, and then see bedsheets not made up yet and start making up the bed, and then remember I need to feed the fish in the pond on the back porch, and while I'm out there, I see the water bowl for the dogs...  and then finally, I remember they are on the front porch waiting for their water.  Unfortunately this is every day.  Am I getting old......or just crazy?

We have all had situations like this at least you can step back now and not be too upset. It is disappointing when you could have controlled the outcome but it is not the end of the world, thank goodness or we would all be in even bigger trouble. As for the casher who keeps finding things to do around the house and forgetting the dogs water, I think we all experience some of that too. Any more for me, if it's not on a sticky note it is out of my head and long forgotten. Take care.

I'm sorry to hear. I have stepped away before from a survey for a certain length of time and found myself timed out on a survey, but have never hit the wrong button on my computer before (now I'm paranoid). On the other spectrum I wonder if GiveYour2Cents would actually have paid the $3. This is something offered by a partnered site and not a deal with FusionCash directly, so the incentive would have been paid differently (if they actually would pay).

David, I agree.  I don't know how they would have paid, but was gonna give it a try.  If I had known it would end up the way it did, I would just have said no to the pictures and get to the end showing finished.   :dontknow:

things like that happen to all of us. i accidently closed out from a survey because my daughter was whining because she wanted to sit in my lap. it was close to the end of the survey too. all that work down the drain.

That's the oddest survey I ever heard of on here. Taking a picture of your shower head?!
