Steve Jobs, R.I.P. (Apple Computer Founder/Owner)
« on: October 05, 2011, 05:21:40 pm »
I was watching Jeopardy tonight and was interrupted with the news flash that Steve Jobs passed.  I was surprised when he stepped down less than two months ago and because he was so private in his life I never found out that he had pancreatic cancer.  He was 56.  It's sad when anybody dies at a younger age than they should expect.  Cheers to a great innovator and visionary.  Not sure if he was secretly philanthopic, but I should hope so with the billions that he accrued.

He was proof that you can do anything if you set your mind to it.  I think the world needs more people like him.

R.I.P. Steve  :crybaby2:

Wow, knew he stepped down because of health issues but didn't know it was a terminal thing.  So sad to lose such an inventive and inspriring human from our world.  What the world owes to him and others of his inspiration.

Just read about his passing on the PTC page this morning.  So sad to lose one of the great innovators of the 20th and 21st century.  Hopefully his creativity inspired a new generation to continue his love of technology, innovation, and play.

So sad.  He did change the world.  I saw recent pic of him that a pap snapped.  That was so wrong of them to do that.

We have lost a genius who has given us more technology than anyone in my time.  He will be missed everytime I pick up my iPad I will remember him.

I've never had an Apple product but I certainly admired him and what he managed to accomplish.  It is clearly a great loss and I've been surprised at how it's affected me.

I had the privelage of meeting both Steve Jobs and Bill Gates at an information conference in Dallas and listening to them give presentations about their young companies when I was coming out of college and joining the workforce.  I was impressed by the fact that both of them were not so much inteerested in placeing technology in the business environment but more geared towards getting the technology in the hoevme or individual enironment.  Steve will be missed for his unique visions in regards to technology.
