doo rags?
« on: October 04, 2011, 04:33:59 am »
Does anyone wear doo rags?  I'm thinking about making some but not sure how many guys or gals actually wear these things.  My hubby seems to think it is a great idea.

I do not wear do rags.  I don't see them as much as I used to.  How do you create a new post?

Doo rags as you so quaintly put it, are historically and contemporarily worn in several communities and among various classes of people. They are worn by a group of high society dancers and their ever expanding groupies called the famous and the infamous umm ahh "Hip Hoppers". There are also a group that has a historical connection to the "doo rag" and these gentlemen are called to various clubs and are known for their affinity to a vehicle known as the "Harley Davidson" these gentlemen and some of their ladies also come under the "doo rag" wearing category. There are also other uses of the "doo rag" I personally would find it quite useful if in fact I might occasionally suffer from what might be known to some as a unfortunate hair day, I believe in classes of less affluence then my own it is referred to as a "bad hair day". My dear young lady I believe that your illustrious spouse has a marvelous, perhaps even an ingenious idea. You will do well to take his advice. I believe it would be most advantageous to you if you pursued in this endeavor just remember to do it with variety, style and class. Tata my dear and lots of good fortune.

Hah, great reply lorettahknox! :D

I have a friend who wears them - possibly 'cause he's mostly bald? Possibly because he think they're cool. He doesn't drive a motorcycle but he often dresses in a similar stereotypical style to those who do.  :P

I wear doo rags (although not as often as I did in the past) because it helps me maintain my waves in my hair.  Which is also not a great as they used to be.  I guess there's a cause and effect thing going on lol (or not).
