Sudoku or crosswords
« on: October 03, 2011, 09:32:52 am »
Do you do either of them?  I do both.  I take two daily newspapers and get two sudoku puzzles, two crosswords and one word scramble.  I usually do them (and read the papers) when I watch t.v. for a couple of hours in the evening.  The Monday ones are the easiest - they get progressively harder as the week goes on.  I manage to finish the sudoku and word scramble ones all week, but struggle with the end of the week crossword ones.

Both!!! they are both great puzzles...I like to do the puzzles first thing in the morning when I have my coffee or in the car if I'm going on a long trip.

I love Sudoku the best. I bought a book so I can do them in the bathroom whenever I use it for other than urinating.

I am no good at either one, I am not ashamed to admit that Sodoku totally confuses me  ??? I don't have a clue.  My mother was addicted to Sodoku and was very good at it.  She passed away in May and there are about 50+ sodoku books here that haven't been touched and as many that she completed.  If I were going to do one or the other it would definetely be crossword which my mom's oldest brother was a whiz at but me, if I start one I am never able to finish it.  Oh well, can't be good at everything right? ::)

i absolutely adore sudoku puzzles; they're about the only thing involving numbers that i do like. i have 2 or 3 books lying around the house somewhere that i'd like to finish someday. crosswords, though... no way. i never know the answers to those, especially when they involve celebrities or tv shows or anything like that.

sudoku's great for things like plane rides and car trips, though. i always take a book when i do some travelling.
