Government Indifferences
« on: October 02, 2011, 07:56:25 am »
Republicans and Democrats should this tomfoolery be allowed. How many people elderly, disabled depend on the system to take care of them monthly?
The effect of a shut-down unstable economy would be crucial to all employed, as well as,those that need a supplemental check.

And this is one of the reasons the government was never given the power to have such authority and influence over us.  When you depend on the government you have effectively become a servant and are no longer master of yourself.  If the government hadn't wrested and stolen so much of its current power from us we would all be indifferent -- indifferent to the little downs that seem to turn the whole world up on its end every so often.  A crisis here, a crisis there, none of this would matter to us anymore than we wanted it to and it certainly could never be used to blackmail us for our votes or to write bigger IOU's in our and our children's names.
There are only 10 types of people in the world:  those who understand binary, and those who don't.

Nice answer Abrupt. There is no difference between Repub/Dem. They're same wings of the same monstorus bird that wants to take eveything you have to some degree or another. When Bush came into office he said no more policing of the world/nation building, he expanded it. When Obama came into office, he said he'd end the wars, he's expanded it. It's all about "continuity of agenda". They keep their pet issues around to further divide people along those lines. In the end nothing changes except for more gov't power and higher taxes.

I think paychecks for our elected officials should be withheld until they get their jobs done correctly.  They should be the ones not to get paid if there is a budget problem since they are the ones who have created the problem ~ or at least compounded to it.
Have a wonderful day!
