We went over this in Church today, "Overcoming Stress"
1. Face the future with Faith.
2. Exercise regularly.
3. Claim Gods promises
4. Forgive one another
5. Pray about your problems
6. Stay positive
7. Set the right goals.

We went over this in Church today, "Overcoming Stress"

If you attended "church" on a Saturday, does this imply your religious beliefs?

1. Face the future with Faith.

Vague advise recommending a vague methodology.

2. Exercise regularly.

Sound secular advise being tacitly claimed as non-secular?

3. Claim Gods promises

As what; unsupported specious claims which lack supportive evidence?

5. Pray about your problems

Engaging in some magical intercessory rituals, ("prayer"), is less likely to affect "your problems" in a practical manner.  Doing so accomplishes nothing more than a potential psychological placebo effect.
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

See?  You are proving the fact someone made known to all about you going after the "Christians" no matter what thread, which forum, and no matter how old the thread is, considering that this particular poster only made this post today, and here you came right in after the poster's comments.

I'm sorry, but there was no call for him to do that.  The poster added something to an old thread, with a mixture of Christian based thoughts and everyday life thoughts, and was then jumped on for expressing "religious" thoughts (freedom of speech.)

I just realized another way I deal with stress...and this is odd...we had a massive storm come through today... power outages...no internet.  The works.  The living room only has one outlet that is working.  And the bathroom has no power at all.  We changed all the fuses as per our landlords instructions after being told Thursday it's our responsibility...  Yeah fuses popping left and right and now we have no air and I'm getting on my pc through and extension cord...I'm ok with this but my husband..yikes...watch out blood pressure.  I've learned I deal with stress when I can help others through the stress.  Weird huh?

I just deal with stress by listening to music and playing games. however, my puppy helps me the most with my stress and other problems. somehow, he just come up with ways to make me laugh just like today when he was running circles around my mom outside. I guess, he had too much energy or something lol

What a lying load of crap; this poster came into a thread about stress, posted religious nonsense interspersed with a few secular non sequiturs and I responded to their INITIAL religious proselytizing.  You xtians still don't get a free pass for posting religious nonsense on unrelated threads or forums because this still isn't an exclusive xtian country club where no opposition is permitted.
However, there you go, jumping in to 'protect' the 'poor, defenseless xtian sheeple' and the skeptical 'wolves'.  How condescending and patronizing of you.

I wrote something else, then was reminded of this:

"When arguing with fools, don't answer their foolish arguments, or you will become as foolish as they are." Proverbs 26:4

Someone's reply to a thread is relevant based on their life experience and beliefs. Neither you nor I get to judge their motives or the relevance. I'm no mind reader, and neither are you.

Non sequitur; no "mind-reading" attempts were made in replying to a religious proselytizing post.

The difference between you and that poster is that they are posting in order to lift up others.

No, the difference is that previous poster posted religious proselytizing as a way to deal with stress, (a cop-out).  That's not 'lifting up' unless viewed from a blind-faith perspective, (which you do and I don't), hence my response.

You are posting to tear down others. I'm not sure why you enjoy doing that, but you do it an awful lot.

No, I am posting opposition to religious self-deceptions, (blind faith), itself.  It is not done to "tear down others"; it is done in dissent against the religious superstitions held by adherents of blind faith.
