Politics: Are we Beginning Not To Care
« on: October 01, 2011, 11:49:12 am »
Everyday there seems to be the same old thing going on in Washington. Nothing ever get,s done. Everyday the gap gets wider on the rich and the poor in
this country. I stopped turning on the news channel because it seems all they ever do is attach each other and once again nothing get,s done. We deal with numerous problems in this economy. Just to name a few is the rising costs of everything, the huge border problem, medical situation in this country and that is just to name a few.  ??? Aren,t these people supposed to be public servants. Seems like nobody that has these positions cares about anything but there party.

Its very sad what its happening right now, i understand that the country and the rest of the world is going through a serious economy crisis, but i dont see our government and representatives trying to fix the problems. Its all about politics and who have more power. Definitely something to be worry about  :'(

I've noticed a marked lack of initiation for the citizens to make a difference. Where is our government, really? Where, physically, can I go to ask questions or get anything done?! I've heard of caucus meetings, town meetings, but where's the real vote? Maybe I'm just stupid, or maybe I'm really uninformed like 90% of the rest of this country.

Its been like that for while; but that was when more competent people were running the show.
But it seems like more people are starting to care because things arent getting done.
And those in power only care for re-election.

Something will be done by ordinary citizens. I know from the past that we will only sit around and watch this for so long until we react. People like myself are getting real pissed off. These people we call public servants need to grow up and worry about the citizens they are working for. If they don,t change soon then I believe it will get changed.

The country as whole obviously doesn't care.  Why else would people vote for a muslim seven years after 9/11?  It just doesn't make sense.  It has to be a combination of not caring and ignorance.

I completely disagree with your racist comment on the president. Who gives a crap what religion he is. We are one of the very few countries that even

put religion and politics in the same sentence. Religion has nothing to do with running the country. And let,s see you get anywhere with a congress that

only gives a crap about there party not the people.

I think you forgot one other thing that congress can agree on.......money should go in their pockets and not ours.  If we only had a "none of the above" category on our ballots.....this would be the year to use it. :dontknow: :dontknow:

I agree that it seems like most politicians only care about themselves and the money can make rather than the people they are representing or what they should stand for. I do not know where the country took a wrong turn and what made this change. Any ideas?
