No gadget needed here. The secret to good, easy to peel hard-boiled eggs is always to use FRESH eggs. Simply put them in a covered pan with enough water to cover them, bring to boil, turn off the burner and let them sit for 20 min. After 20 min. run cold water over them to cool the eggs. There is an air pocket at the large end of the egg & that is where to start peeling; shell comes off easily. AND no rubbery hard boiled eggs.
