Does anyone like to knit or crochet? =)

Was just curious if anyone here like to knit or crochet..
I have severe arthritis so I am unable to hold onto the hooks any longer... so I have actually learned to knit on a loom.
Knitting always took away the sorrows or stresses of the day... but was unable to do for so long...
Now  I am so happy to be able to make my scarves etc again!!
What do you make?

I knit and crochet.  I make afghans and scarves.  Made my step daughter a shawl she loved it.  Just got new knitting needles (19mm) havent figured out what I want to make with them, but always wanted them now to many choices.

i dont know how but my mom and my aunt and my daughter does..i got a blanket my aunt gave/made me 25 yrears ago i love it!

I did both for years but never really appreciated the relaxation factor as it seemed I always had a project going and life was busy. Since I retired, I have focused on knitting, am enjoying it more and I make sweaters, afghans and those wonderful cotton dish clothes that everybody loves to have.
Is it hard to learn how to use the loom?

No the loom is sooo easy!!!
If you are on facebook.. there are groups on there.  They are so nice... if you ever have questions.. you can ask there.. and everyone helps you.
Also you can go on YouTube. They have great videos.. step by step. They are wonderful.
I really love the looms.... I really can not hold onto the needles any more.

I just bought a crochet hook on Amazon that has the most wonderful handle and it has a lighted hook.  The handle is wide and has a rubber wrap on it. It fits perfectly in your hand and doesn't slip because of the grip.

If you are familiar with YouTube go check it out.  I bet you will be surprised how easy it is.

Bring back that amazing feeling of calm and peacefulness of being able to sit and knit... I love it.

Take advantage of the web... YouTube has a world of videos out there.
Some good.. some not so good.  Best thing is.. they are free... and you can look to see what works for you.

I love to crochet!  Especially during the fall/winter season!    I'm by no means a "professional" at it but I can make afgans or the average scarf with fringe on the end!  The hardest part is finding the time to do it.

I have never learned how to do either, but I would certainly love to try.  I never think about it though!

I knit and crochet.My mil taught me to crochet when I was 15,right after I got married.I am a self taught knitter by looking at books.So I guess I have been crochetinh for about 34 yrs and knitting about 30 yrs.I love to do both,but prefer knitting.It is so relaxing.

Kind of a funny question with me as I am a male and used to knit while I volunteered at a suicide hotline!  Funny because my wife and I were dating at the time and she had never been with someone that would send her flowers, write her poems and songs, remember silly little holidays, as good looking as me, or who had good manners (opening doors, pulling out chairs, listening to her every word) and she thought that I might be gay!  Seeing a pair of knitting needles and a half finished scarf in my car went over the line.

I like to crochet! Which everyone thinks I am weird becasue I am a man.  I use to have a dog which I gave to my brother because the dog liked it better there I guess its because I move around to much but I use to crochet him cloths to keep him warm in the winter. He is a small dog a poodle he still loves me when I visit my brother he always likes to be with me.  He is eating better at my brothers he just wouldn't eat when he was with me.  I just wanted what was best for him.  Does anyone think I was wrong to give him to my brother?
