Tiger Woods
« on: September 07, 2011, 03:00:50 pm »
:(Tiger Woods one of the greatest golf players of all times has lost his popularity to some of his fans because he let his guard down. Even though he's a mixed race he was considered a good role model for the african americans. He may have said he was sorry for what he did but, most of his fans will always see him as a sex addict.

I like Tiger, but never looked at him as a role model. He shouldn't have cheated, of course, and he paid for that, but his sex life is his own business... half his fans are probably sex addicts and a bunch of hypocrites anyways.

Tiger was a great golf player, but I would have never thought of him as a role model, sex addict or not. I am kind of glad that he hasn't come back as good as he was before. GO PHIL!!

I was never a fan of Tiger Woods & never understood how havin a career in golf would ever help humanity.Golf 2me it's just a rich man's way to waste time & money. The public & fans that dropped him had no right. The man has a private life, whether it's moral or amoral it's none of the public,fans,sponsirs,producer,directors,etc...business to judge him.If that's the case, then if a doctors or actors is found cheatin, they should lose their jobs too?Don't get me wrong,I hate cheaters. The cheater 2me is like a horny pig that can't stop humpin everythin in site. It's so disgustin 2think that the 1 you trust would cheat & may bring bk somethin that could kill you into the marriage bed like,AIDs!I don't know about his African American side but I have strong feelin it's his Asian side that kicked him 2the curb.I know,it's the 21st century but in the Asian culture even Americanized Asians suffer the ten billion yrs of guilt curse.Even b4 birth, you can hear your parents lay on the guilt trials. When born it's in your genes forever! So,when some1 in Asian culture sins gets out.Everybody is guilty of that sin & the first thing you do is 2dump the cause of the sin.Ya,I know it's so ancient & old fashion.Lol, I don't mean 2b mean but TW was just thinkin w/his retarded brain & got caught w/his pants down! Hellooooooo, if you'r goin 2cheat use the right brain & not take the *bleep* in public! LoL.. Duhhhhhaa :bootyshake:

I don't understand the fan thing anyway.  No point in holding an overpaid athlete to a higher standard than the rest of us humans.

Totally agree on your first two statements.  If a wealthy golf player decides to be philanthropic then that is wonderful.  There are some people who say we shouldn't judge Tiger Woods and I agree.  As the parable says "He who is without sin cast the first stone".  I have stopped following Tiger Woods due to the fact that he simply lost his ability to play at the highest level, perhaps all the drama took away his mental sharpness.  Yeah, I've heard about his injuries, but I'm dubious that this is the sole reason he lost his swing.  Doctors and actors get paid for their performance on the job and it is seldom that that their private lives interfere with their occupation(Charlie Sheen).  It is the business of sponsors to be  concerned with what Tiger Woods does in his private life should these details become public.  How does a sponsor get paid?  They get paid by people buying their products with the help of favorable opinion towards their spokesperson.  If a company has a spokesperson with a negative public image it hurts the company's profits.  Tiger Woods was getting paid millions because he was a winner and wholesome, today he apparently isn't either of these and thus it is the right of his endorsees to drop him.

He wasn't sorry for what he did. He was sorry he got caught. You have a beautiful wife and kids at home and you couldn't keep it in your pants. To be honest, I could care less if his career went down hill for the rest of his life.

Its one of those things where he had his chance and he blew it!  I very seriously doubt he will be where he once was!

Babe ruth was an alcoholic. Kobe bryant was accused of raping someone. Martha stewart went to jail for inside trading. Brittney Murphy died of a drug overdose. Chris Farley died of a drug overdose. Heath ledger die of a drug overdose. Kurt cobain overdosed and killed himself. Tiger woods has sex with a bunch of women. I could go on but my point is even celebrities/"role models" can mess up and everybody will know, it is what you make of it.
