That rule to me is a tricky one because sometimes when people do you wrong is it right for you to treat them right just because thats how you want to be treated even though they arent treating you the way you deserve to be treated?

You're always goinmg to find somebody who's not so nice.  I find the best thing is just to simply ignore them instead of feeding into it.  Otherwise all you end up doing is giving them more leverage.  Sometimes we just need to be the bigger person and walk away.  And if they're doing something or saying something that goes against FS rules, go admin and let them handle it from there.
