Journey concert
« on: September 05, 2011, 10:02:25 am »
Mom and I had a blast at the Journey concert last night.  Our seats were terrific.  The parking ran very smoothly.   Jonathan Cain was superb on the keyboard, Neal Schon was awesome on guitar, and Arnel Pineda rocked on lead vocals.  Night Ranger was a cool opening act as well.  Some people were disappointed in Foreigner for cancelling their appearance.   I saw Foreigner and Journey in concert during the summer of 1998.  It is possible that Foreigner will tour with Journey again in the future.  Journey's new CD, "Eclipse" is now available in stores.

My mom loves Journey. She also saw them and Foreigner around '98. Actually a tornado hit here the day they were performing. I guess at the concert Foreigner was telling the crowd how they were filming the tornado from their hotel room. It was kind of funny the timing, I live in Utah and this one hit in Salt Lake City the day they were here. A tornado hitting Salt Lake City, that doesn't happen very often.

I think I would really enjoy a Journey/Foreigner concert.  Two of my favorite bands.

I saw Journey with Steve Augeri when I was 9. Was terribly disappointed when he "left." (My father is now friends with him and knows otherwise)
Not a big fan of the new singer- in fact, I'm not a fan at all. I'll stick to the classics with Perry and Augeri on vocals.

Good to hear you had a good time though!

I was a fan of journey...."back in the day"!  After Steve Perry left I didn't really listen to them that much after that!

Both are bands I love.  Wish I could see them both in concert.

I love all the old acts who are still together.  I love Steve Perry but the new singer sounds just like him!

Same here. They were my favorite group back in the day but when Perry left I stopped listening to them too.
