yes but it can hurt ones back if they are not at the right angle or height.

What is a "compter"?  I have a computer, but maybe I should get a "compter" in addition to that.

I don't stand up to use the computer but I'm always finding myself just getting up and walking back and forth then sitting back down. Or sometimes I'll just stand. It's almost like a reflex, I don't know why I do these things.

If your not going to be on the computer very long standing would be ok but if you are going to be on there for hours than you have to rotate.  I site and mess around with my email and accounts like this but I have to sit and than I would go do some house cleaning or laundry.  Some times I even lay down my husband built me a table that folds up so I can still have my computer even if  I cant get out of bed (due to my fibromyalgia and bone depletion) So that is what I do.

On the contrary, check out the Re: title of your own post, as well as the title on a number of other posts, and then come back again and tell me what I didn't see.

Really. I'm actually standing up while typing this post, but that's because I'm in the middle of something else. But normally, I use my computer sitting down or while lying on my bed ( sometimes while sleeping too.)

So you basically stoop over your computer and your back doesn’t break? Or do you place your computer on a higher table? Forget the chair. I have even knelt down on my knees when my rear got tired of sitting.  ;D

That's weird. And very uncomfortable. Does your back hurt afterwards? And your hands?

I know of a person who sometimes stands at her desk area, but I myself would find this awkward. The desk are low at my workplace and to compensate the person I know who does this stacks a book and tray to elevate the keyboard and mouse.

I begun standing when using my computer about a year ago. Got a higher desk so the monitor was close to eye level and my mouse was at a good height as well. It's much less stressful on my back and neck I feel.
