Sony Vaios vs. HP Pavillion
« on: August 29, 2011, 10:04:53 am »
My first laptop was a Sony Vaios and while I liked the fact of having a laptop I couldn’t stand the Vaios because it had separate controls for everything that over rid any controls from the control panel.  I even had to close the laptop mouse because while I would type the cursor would put the words wherever the pointer mouse was and not where I needed them to go.  I was so happy when it broke (still under warranty) so I could get another laptop.  I went with an HP Pavilion and I’ve been so happy with it ever since.  There is no overriding of control panel controls or jumping cursors and the laptop sound system is the best I’ve ever heard for a computer system.  (Of course I use speakers but the laptop sound is still good.)  I will trust Sony for electronic equipment like stereos, headphones, speakers but I will never trust them again for a laptop.  —I always was constantly dragging that Vaios back to the store to get it fixed.  Within three months of owning it I had to take it back to best buy!

I've had the opposite experience as you have!  Was faithful HP for years and then kept having trouble.  Purchased a Sony last time and have had not problems with it so far.
Have a wonderful day!
