It's just another day for me. No big deal.

The local radio station is having a Family Day in the park, that i plan to attend. It's at a park that's on the beach and I'm looking forward to it. I hope it's not too hot.

Same here and I will be 'laboring' at work as usual. I try to work holidays to give the people I work with who have young children and/or families out of state that they don't see often the time off. I remember how much it killed me when my kids were young and I had to work because no one would cover for me, so I know how much it is appreciated. Hopefully I will catch the leftovers from friends' barbecues and I know without a doubt that several of my nurses will drop goodies off to me at the hospital - they always do. I'm not sure if they do it because they happen to be great women and men or if they are kissing up...... ;D

The same for me too. I don't know if my family has plans, but I will be spending the day watching TV, and going online.

I live in Oregon and I learned how to barbeque in the rain long ago, or we wouldn't do it too often. I don't labor anymore and stay off the road when the laborers have a day off, but the barbeque sounds like a great idea, rain or shine.

Why have a plan, you get a three day weekend to do whatever you want and I'll be working on my quilt so it's ready for my daughter's wedding on Nov. 1st.
