Pork chops with blue cheese gravy
« on: August 22, 2011, 08:20:03 am »
Ingredients

    2 tablespoons butter
    4 thick cut pork chops
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, or to taste
    1 cup whipping cream
    2 ounces blue cheese, crumbled

Directions

Melt butter in a large skillet, over medium heat. Season the pork chops with black pepper and garlic powder. Fry the chops in butter until no longer pink and the juices run clear, about 20 to 25 minutes. Turn occasionally to brown evenly.
Remove chops to a plate and keep warm. Stir the whipping cream into the skillet, loosening any bits of meat stuck to the bottom. Stir in blue cheese. Cook, stirring constantly until sauce thickens, about 5 minutes. Pour sauce over warm pork chops

This sounds delicious, thanks!  I'm not a good cook by any stretch, but I think I can follow these directions easy enough.

Sounds delicious, but I don't like blue cheese gravy. Maybe I can add just the regular gravy to it.

I hope you all enjoy and you are welcome I enjoy sharing my recipes..feels like they live on lol...

@ Glenda1bruce when I came up with the idea I was out of any seasoning or anything I thought sounded good (off week for grocery shopping) and at first I was like hmm I am scared it could be gross lol..But..it was really good it,and I have three kids who well are honest food critics and a Husband who will not hold back and now I get asked to make this at least once a month..

Let me know what you all think of it..  ;D and do not be afraid to add your own spin thats how most of my recipes are I added my own spin to something just cause LMAO
