What do you prefer?

Seems that Blockbuster is better off to go with. Since netflix went up on prices.

I actually don't use either.
If you subscribe to a few freebie sights though you can get codes to get free movies from both.
I don't think you can use the free codes for movies just released though.
The free codes are constantly showing up for Redbox and BB in my email.
But I just don't bother.

I have tried both. Currently I am subscribed to Netflix and I love it. It's convenient and just at a click of a button I can watch movies or TV shows.  I heard about the new prices but I might just wait & see if it will be worth the cost.  The thing I do not like about the Blockbuster Movie Box's is the long line at times and you just can't search without feeling rushed.

NEITHER!!! I use the Red Box- LOVE the REDBOX... you can rent anywhere, and return anywhere... what a concept!!! If you haven't used it, you need to check it out!!

Blockbuster seems to be pretty dead in my area aside from a couple of those vending machine things. Those seem to be okay, but in my opinion stand no chance compared to all of red box's free offers.

I prefer Netflix, given the number of movies/shows my family watches.  It would cost me at least quadruple that to rent anywhere else :)

Netflix, although I don't have the service right now. I have plenty to watch with regular programs and On Demand. Blockbuster rubbed me the wrong way in stores so I never had any desire to try their mail service.

Netflix has the advantage of being able to watch it at home and only having to walk to your mailbox for a DVD.  They also don't run out of stock as quickly as Blockbuster does (although, they've been better in the past few years as I've noticed).  I'd have to say that Netflix offers way more options that you can browse through with great ease, and it's a fixed rate (until September, of course) that you can take full advantage of.  Not to mention, they also have an online community of their own, with rating and comments.
The only upsides that I see that Blockbuster has is: you don't need wifi to watch what you rented or choose your next DVD; you get the traditional feel of "renting a movie"; you have the option of renting games and/or music; you also may buy certain movies in the store; and you can buy snacks and drinks when you purchase the DVD of choice.

I'm also a very pleased customer with how accurate their "suggetions" are (I rate EVERYTHING).
So after all of this consideration, I know for a fact that I get more than my money's worth each month for Netflix, and besides the fact that they're raising their prices, I would choose them over any other movie renting company as of right now.

Prices did go up for netflix but i thought only if you choose to watch online instantly. I think I will still use my netflix. There aren't many blockbusters around here so I only go when I want to see something right then and can't wait a few weeks to get it from netflix. I think metflix is easier too because you can set up what you want to see and they just send it to you, send it back when you're done and get a new movie, you always have something to watch without having to leave the house
