Do Vampires really exist?

I love to watch vampire movies and serials..so I was wondering do vampire really exist in this world?

Literally? No. I think it's pretty obvious that they're not. They're in the same vicinity of werewolves, zombies, Jersey Devil, evil seamonsters, demons, Slenderman, etc.
But metaphorically? Yes.

Think about it......if there were true vampires, the Federal Government would consider them freaks and lock them up. There is no way there are vampires today. Although, I do believe that there were vampires during the period of 1600's to early 1900's. One of my high school teachers even believe it. I do believe there was a Dracula, or could still be....the only one vampire to have actually existed.

There was a real life "Dracula."  The story of Dracula was loosely based on a real person, Vlad III, Prince of Wallachia aka Vlad the Impaler, or simply as Dracula.

Just as the legend of Santa Claus is loosely based on a real life person Saint Nicholas.  Stories have been retold and things added to over the years that it morphed into these myths.

I once saw a show called beyond belief and one of their stories based on fact suggested that they are real.

I have not found any proof of real  vampires, but here is a thought. The Red Cross collects an enourmous amount of bood every year. WAY MORE than they use or need. Where  exactly does this extra blood go? Is there a conspiracy with vampires paying for this extra blood? Hmmmmmmmmmmm...............?
