I don't drink when I am eating because it makes you full faster.  My father broke me from that when I was younger.  He wouldn't let me drink while eating I guess I used to do that and I wouldn't finish my food.  I don't remember if that was really the case but it makes sense I guess.

I've never heard of such things. Would you like to buy a bridge cheap?

i don't drink while i am eating.. i never did and never really thought about it until i got married and my husband pointed it out time after time... and the only conclusion that i came up with is that i don't like mixing the flavor of my drinks with my food b/c i also don't mix my foods( i eat all of one item on my plate before i start another).....IDK

I have about 8 oz of water 30 min before meals.  Better for digestion and also helps me eat less.

I don't think this is correct. I always drink something with my meals. What in the world would it matter if you drank anything before or after? I do know people who take medication sometimes without water which I find absolutely creepy. I always have to drink a big glass of water when taking medication or it makes me sick to my stomach.

Does this mean nothing to drink at all - such as water, juice, coffee, etc?  I've never heard of that.

I usually dont drink while eating or I will have a few sips here and there depending on what Im eating. I just never really felt the need for it. A lot of my friends do this with their kids but my munchkin chokes half the time on his food or puts so much in there he drinks to help him even swallow. We are still in the process of stopping him from doing this but I think he just wants to hurry up the feeding process so he can get down and play.

I really don't think this is true at all. If you have proof or an article about it I would be more likely to take it seriously.
Our bodies are mostly water as it is and often we aren't drinking enough anyway with jobs, kids, errands, etc. I can't imagine that it matters when you drink your water as long as you are getting enough. A lot of people use water for weight loss by drinking a lot before eating so they feel fuller more quickly. Water also provides lubrication for eating your food so it is easier to swallow so you don't choke on it. Water can also help with preventing constipation later on.

No i do not have proof I just heard that it is bad I am trying to research this because I heard not to drink a half hour before you eat and a half hour to 2 hours after you eat and if you are supposed to eat every four hours which i have also heard that does not leave to much time to drink water at all!!!

i never eat a meal without something to drink!
my fiance does that, though. i'm not sure HOW,
i guess he's just used to it. i like a drink to clear
my throat, or for small breaks through the meal.

never heard of that theory though. i would think
it would help the digestive system, as the liquid
would be absorbed into the food and thus breaking
it down much quicker?

 :dontknow:

I do not like this statement because - How are going to break down your solid foods? Without a drink I think you will get indigestion!
