 2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. {which...: Heb. upon whom my name is called}

Requoting religious hearsay constitutes offensive 'bible-thumping' religious proselytizing.

2Ch 7:14
(KJV)
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

This verse was included in our pastor's message today.  It has been on my heart ever since.  I came in here to post the verse and saw that you have posted it.  I think it's neat how both of us were prodded, in our hearts and minds, to post the same verse, considering just how many there are in the Bible.  :)

Same religious superstitious basis, same faith blindness - not that much of a synchronicity.

Ironically, on Sunday 21 Oct a mass shooting occurred at a Wisconsin spa and four people were killed. While they were still trying to find the shooter.  His father,who lives in Florida, called into a local WI. news station while they were on the air and issued a formal apology from the family for what had happened.  The father, who was shocked, and despondent quoted this verse over the air (check the national news story)

That's an awful shame about that tragedy.  I feel bad for his father, along with the families of the victims.  That is strange about the dad quoting that particular verse.  Thank you for sharing this, and I will pray for all of the families who are struggling to come to terms with this.

I have no problem opposing faith-blinding self-delusions stemming from religious beliefs.

You are doing more than opposing - you are expressing complete intolerance and lack common courtesy; and you keep it constantly going.  So, I have no problem opposing your complete intolerance and lack of common courtesy.

Your inherently-biased 'opinion' carries no weight because it's not supported by factual evidence and relies instead upon your religiously-based misperceptions, afronted ego and continued attempts to censor/restrict/suppress/oppress/repress dissenting viewpoints.

So, I have no problem opposing your complete intolerance and lack of common courtesy.

The difference is such opposition being that mine stems from a rational perspective and uses logical reasoning while yours stems from an irrational fundie xtian perspective of blind blind and relies upon irrationality and illogic.  Granted, this difference seems to escape a xtian fundie entirely however, that's not inherently unusual.

False;  Thanks again, though, for your never-ending intolerance and lack of courtesy.

False ...

Wow, I haven't come across such an ineffective rebuttal since my 4 year old ponied-up with "is not".
