One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
 Now all has been heard;
here is the conclusion of the matter:
Fear God and keep his commandments,
for this is the duty of all mankind.
For God will bring every deed into judgment,
    including every hidden thing,
whether it is good or evil.

(since that posted 'prediction' has no replied 'last word' from me, the contention is in error and serves as evidence of your own psychological immaturity.  Game, set, match, fundie).

My Bible verse for today is "Let not your heart be troubled, you believe in God, believe in me also." St John 14:1

Matthew 6:25-34

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?  Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?  Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.  But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.  Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

If it seems ungrateful of xtians for ripping-off earlier pagan beliefs to assimulate them into the xtian cult way back when and then bible-thump them after such plagiarisms, that's because it is.

Jesus said we would suffer for our faith.  He also said we would be persecuted for the same.  He will help you stay strong against those who chastise you for your faith, tease you, and try to rile you about it.  Keep your faith strong in the Lord, endure, and persevere.  Stand for what you believe - everyone has a choice about what they want in life and where they want to spend eternity.  And no one has the right to take that away from you or make you feel pressured to "question" your beliefs or sanity.  Keep strong in the Lord.   :)

John 16:33
King James Version (KJV)
33 "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."

Matthew 24:13
King James Version (KJV)
13 "But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved."

Matthew 28:20
King James Version (KJV)
20 "Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

Isaiah 41:10
King James Version (KJV)
10 "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."

Ephesians 6:10
King James Version (KJV)
10 "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might."

If you think that rebuttals and challenges in a text-based forum constitute being "persecuted" and 'suffering', your hypocrisy does a grave injustice to those who actually did suffer and were persecuted by xtians during the Inquistion, for instance.

Why whine about being challenged if your blind faith is impervious to such challenges, (that is, if you lack enough courage of your convictions to defend them by responding to the challenges and not by whining about being challenged, why bother with whinings)?

I'm quoting for encouragement - I wasn't even speaking to you.  You are showing your ignorance in the Christian faith and God.  Have fun whining; others are in here for Bible verses and inspiration.  You don't have to like it.

Such "encouragement" constitutes proselytizing bible-thumping and I'm quoting otherwise in opposition to that.  No matter where it occurs.

I wasn't even speaking to you.

Non sequitur.  These are open FC forums, not some exclusive xtian 'countryclub'.

You are showing your ignorance in the Christian faith and God. You don't have to like it.

If knowing more about xtian concepts such as "soteriology" and the "ransom theory of 'redemption'" show ignorance, what would a lack of knowledge about those concepts show, (without quickly looking them up and parroting some online source)?

While it's true, you are answering a response I made, even though it wasn't directed at you or for your benefit, the response is still directed to like believers who choose to read it.  You can respond and tell me you oppose it - so noted, but beyond that, I will not stop posting in here with others, just because you don't like it.  You don't have to like it.

And like the way you throw up that people are "recommended" to use the "ignore" button with you, likewise - you can choose to "ignore" as well or you can choose to not come in the thread - the thread doesn't apply to you with your no-belief anyway, so naturally you won't enjoy taking part in the inspiration of the verses.  But, since you do choose to come in and post, like anyone else can, you will also be responded to with your remarks and how they are disrespectful.

No one is Bible-thumping, just sharing verses.  Many people who do not believe in God, skip the thread, but they aren't like you where you feel you must come in no matter what.  In that case, you appear to be Bible-bashing, in which you also deny.  Six one way, half a dozen the other.
