I sincerely do not understand how people make it through life without having that assurance that there is someone looking out for us that cares about us.

Most children grow up to leave their parents' apron-strings behind and to mature.  Some never do and long for hypothetical supernatural entities to replace a parent.
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

         St. John 12:23

23    And Jesus said, The hour is come, that Son of
              man should be glorified.
24    Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ex-
cept a corn of wheat fall into the ground
and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it
              bringeth forth much fruit.
         25    He that loveth his life and lose it;
and he hateth his life in this world
shall keep it unto life eternal.
26    If any man serve me, let him follow
me; and where I am, there shall also
my servant be; if any man serve me, him
              will my father honour.
27    Now is my soul troubled; and
what shall I say? Father, save me from
this hour. but for this cause came I
              unto this hour.

I love this kind of post.... :peace: :peace: :peace:

i think faith works... in any religion that is...

What is meant by "work" in that context? How can it "work", (function operationally), when "faith" means a belief in that for which there is no evidence?

i think that you can get supernatural powers or help by meditating or praying to a god

Would no such "help" be forthcoming if there were no such supernatural powers?

... and the bigger the god is( the more ppl that believe in that faith) the more powerful it could be... i think this has to do with belief power ...

Such hypothetical 'beings' are designated as egregores. An Egregore is 'an occult concept representing a "thoughtform" or "collective group mind", an autonomous psychic entity made up of, and influencing, the thoughts of a group of people. The symbiotic relationship between an egregore and its group has been compared' to that which is worshipped in religions and the more recent "memes" concept.

... i also think some ppl would probbly get all suicidal if they found their God was fake as they would be so scared not knowing where they are or what they are...

One would think that, once they discovered that such a concept were implausible, they'd not want to suicide and end up 'nowhere'.  If you are having such thoughts, seek the council of others, (in person - that would be more serious than appropriate to an online forum).

i think its really sad and sometimes wish there were a good God who would save us all... but in the bible many ppl go to hell and a few to heaven... i am not ok with that because i don't feel anyone in this world deserves to be tortured for eternity when they didn't ask for life in the first place... i can follow but that also gets in my mind and i feel like i'm wroning the ppl who wouldn't qualify for heaven so it stumbles my walk and i at this moment refuse to follow a God who lets ppl get tortured for eternity after forcing his lifestyle on them...

Since your posts show a certain tendency to drift back and forth on this issue, that suggests an indecision about it.  Nothing says this must be decided now.  Wait awhile, gain more perspective.  There's no rush.

Isaiah 30:18

King James Version (KJV)

18 "And therefore will the Lord wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the Lord is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him."

A picture is worth two words, even if some are unable to discern them, (or, articulate coherently).

A "typo" is a 'mispelling', (like misspelling that word).  Grammarical inarticulation is not defined as misspelling.

God is good All the time.

It's just the followers of that hypothetical 'egregore' who aren't, huh, (except for the numerous accounts of death & destruction attributed to that egregore, of course).

They shall not kill, steal or commit adultery, Ten Commandments.

"Religion easily has the greatest bull*bleep* story ever told. Think about it, religion has actually convinced people that there's an INVISIBLE MAN...LIVING IN THE SKY...who watches every thing you do, every minute of every day.
And the invisible man has a list of ten special things that he does not want you to do. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry for ever and ever 'til the end of time...but he loves you!"
-- George Carlin, (from his album "You Are All Diseased")
