"Do unto others..." (you know the rest).  The Golden Rule is a basic part of every religion and is a critical part of living a spiritual existence.  Could you imagine the world if everyone treated others the way they want to be treated?  (With the exception of masochists of course)... Anyway, it would be a great world if everyone lived by it...

Are you tacitly suggesting that those who proselytize desire that they be 'proselytized'-to under the "Golden Rule"?

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

(KJV) John 3:16

"The ransom theory of 'redemption' (soteriology):

This was the dominant belief in the early Christian church. It has also been called the "Classic" theory
of the atonement/soteriology. The early church father Origen (185-254 CE) was a leader of the Alexandrian
School in Egypt. He suggested that, as a result of the sin of Adam and Eve, Satan had acquired a formal
dominion over, and ownership of, all of humanity and the rest of the world. In order to free people from
the grip of Satan, God agreed to arrange the death of Yeshua, his son, as a ransom price to be paid to
the devil. This would formally compensate for Adam and Eve's sin, and would release humanity from Satan's
grip. Origen wrote: "The payment could not be made to God because God was not holding sinners in
captivity for a ransom, so the payment had to be to the devil." Origen believed that Satan accepted the
offer because he assumed that he would end up with ownership of Yeshua/jesus. The devil didn't realize
that Yeshua would escape his clutches. God deceitfully pulled a "bait and switch" operation by resurrecting
Yeshua a day and a half after his death on the cross, (not three days). This left Satan without any
reward/scammed.  This ransom rationalization was later altered after the twelfth century CE to a variation,
(anyone born of the Adam/Eve subsequent incestuous matings was inherently 'sinful' and needed 'redemption'
even though there supposedly wasn't anyone else to make babies with). This ransom variation remains an
illogical bait-and-switch meant to lull the gullible into abdicating their 'will', (essentially naming 'god' as the
beneficiary of their will)."

I was brought up in a spiritual home where you believed in God. God is THE FATHER, THE SON and THE HOLY SPIRIT. I was taught to walk in the light, respect mysely and others, love myself and love others. With this being said IF YOU RESPECT YOURSELF FIRST OTHERS WILL RESPECT YOU. IF YOU LOVE YOURSELF FIRST OTHERS WILL LOVE YOU. I've seen as well as learned you have to love yourself before you can love someone else. When I place him first in my life, regardless of what I go through, what I faced day by day I'm Blessed with his GOODNESS to no hes always there.

I was brought up in a spiritual home where you believed in God.

That can be seen as most unfortunate, by those who weren't or don't hold such religious beliefs, (which means that they were learned via proselytization - either at home and/or in churches).

God is THE FATHER, THE SON and THE HOLY SPIRIT.

That would constitute your learned belief; I neither share it or presume it applies to otehrs who don't share it.  Can you claim the same?

I was taught to walk in the light, respect mysely ...

Presumably, "mysely"[sic] means 'myself' however, the point is that you concur that you were "taught" this behavour under religious auspices.  Not only are such things possible to learn sans any underLying religious basis, in my view that's preferable.

"With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion."

Romans 8:31-32

What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?  He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

"Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth: both young men, and maidens; old men, and children: let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven.  He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye the LORD.  Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth: both young men, and maidens; old men, and children: let them praise the name of the LORD:  for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven."
