You mean, spamming and proselytizing religious propanganda which is offensive to others.

I'm so glad we have this thread to inspire each other with the scriptures like this.
Tsk, tsk, tsk!  Now you know that there will always be topics that are offensive to someone!  Some like to ignore what they are offended by.  Others like to respond offensively with their own offensive means.  Others start their own threads with what they like, whether it offends anyone or not.  Then we start over again with the circle of things listed.  Does it mean that all threads on topics are spamming just because others don't like the topic?  No, not at all.  It just means that everyone is different, thinks differently, votes differently, believes or dis-believes differently, and those are things we at least respect the person for what they choose, even if we don't like it.  It doesn't mean we are forced to do it, and we are not forced to read every thread, and if anything is considered spamming, wrong, nasty, or otherwise, that conflicts with the rules of the forum, then the monitor would delete the thread, say something to the wrong doer, warn them, or boot them.

I know you already know this, so I really don't know why I wrote this, but oh well.  Hope your week is going well.  Do you mind me asking if you retired from the service, or still serve?  What was your particular job?

No, spamming, (or flooding a forum with repetitious 'biblical verses' is permitted by FC; just as posts opposing suc religious proselytization are.

Do you mind me asking if you retired from the service, or still serve?  What was your particular job?

I do mind but, thanks for asking.

How can this be spamming when it is your choice to open the thread or not?
Excellent point!

It's spam-flooding when the thread gets flooded with requoted "verses", even though these on technical on-topic in the off topic forum.
These initial posts constitute the flooding, (not the lesser number of opposing posts).
How many are active that would constitute the flooding?  I only know of a couple current ones going.

That's fine - I just thought you had mentioned it before, and I couldn't remember.  I know I've previously thanked you for your service, so I'll just say thanks, again.

Romans 12:9-13

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

I think that may be the problem... no one cares about falcon9. I am so very thankful to him for making this thread so popular and making it an ongoing one. He truly is a blessing.

"Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people,
especially to those who belong to the family of believers."
Galatians 6:10 (NIV)

"The entire law is summed up in a single command:
"Love your neighbor as yourself.
"If you keep on biting and devouring each other,
watch out or you will be destroyed by each other."
Galatians 5:14-15 (NIV)

How is it that you can have my posts on 'ignore' and still be awaiting them while claiming "no one cares about" them?  Are you really that mentally deficient?  If so, my apologies for applying logic to a mental midget such as yourself.

You're not the sharpest utensil in the drawer, are you? On the one hand claiming, (without evidence), that "no one cares" and then being "thankful" to the one allegedly not cared for.  Rationality is manestly not your forte, which is doubtless why you eschew it.

Two or three threads, multiple dozens of requotes constitute flooding one or two forums.  That's alright though, such repetitious flooding by 'thumpers merely emphasizes their compulsive need to proselytize and non-illuminating blind faith's resistance to reason.

I have absolutely no problem with someone who wishes to practice their religion. I also have no problem with others sharing their religious views. I openly criticize other people's views, but if someone wishes to believe these views then I hold no personal grunge against them. What I have a problem with is post like these that attempt to oppress those with opposing view by ridiculing them and attacking them with Ad hominems instead of addressing their arguments directly. These ideas are borderline censorship, and attempt to restrain other people from arguing, questioning, and represses humanity's progress. Instead of repressing criticism and hating those who have opposing views, how about we accept the fact that other people have different views and openly argue these views without taking everything so personal?

That would be a refreshing change of pace for the bible-thumpers however, they are loathe to argue within the parameters of reasoning and have demonstrated a preference for irrationality, avoidance of disputed points and diverting from context instead.  That's an unfortunate consequence of blind faith, (which all to often spills over into other aspects of life where faith blinds reason).  As for these attempts to censor or restrict opposing viewpoints to religious proselytizing; it's been mentioned before when the religious adherents have tried to characterize dissent to their initially "rude"/"disrespectful"/"intolerant" specious religious claims as being 'rude, disrespectful, intolerant' responses,  For some non-reason, there are a few fanatical religious adherents who mistakenly view some FC forums as 'private xtian preserves/reservations'.
