I sure will vote and I hope the old ways are gone.  If we do not change we are doomed.  I have worked for federal, state, and local government and have seen waste and bad choices made it all three.

I'm fed up with Obama, and I was a fervert supporter and volunteer for his '08 campaign.  He's not a Democrat, he's a moderate Republican happily spewing their BS.

The Republicans are without a doubt nothing more than a heinous, evil group more concerned with their own power lust and rich donors.  They're terrorists and hostage takers.  Anyone who votes for them is a fool.

I'll vote for Dems in local elections, statewide office, and Representatives and Senators.  My Presidential vote will go to a third party.  And I'm seriously considering moving to a country where the government actually care about the middle class and the poor, not the top 1%.

In all my life and I been around for a while, I have never seen such a poor display of government. This situation is disgusting and I am sorry but I think we should vote those rich bastards right out of there cushy seats. They have no idea what it is like to live everyday with the laws that they pass. We have to get rid of the lobbyists these guys are getting paid to screw us. We need to outlaw it, it is a conflict of interest.

Good post.  I have been very troubled with government myself.  I'm from KY and I voted for Rand Paul and have liked what he has done.  I feel the people that have elected Mitch McConnell every time are going to think twice before they vote for him again.  If the tea party or Dems get a good candidate he will have trouble getting re-elected.

Thoughts are - nothing was accomplished. I live in the Metro Dc area and have worked for the govt for 12 years on top of the Military for 22 years. As much as everyone is gripping on the TV about the "Tea Party Terriorists" , I watched the vote on Cspan yesterday and the dems held off to the last minute to Vote so they would not get the blame for trashing the bill . They made sure it passed but, didn't want to show too much support 95-96. The Dems had the house for 4 years and did nothing but, spend-spend-spend. They haven't even passed a budget in the past two years and were coming up on the third budget, which is normally voted on by now (jul-aug) time frame. The govt. year ends on Sep 30 and the dems haven't proposed anything, the republicans budget was thrown in the trash back in Apr. Too many people believe what they hear on TV or news that is slanted one way or another, I watch what the politicians do and how they vote. I think everyone should take a look at that. Don't forget the  dems had the house and Senate by big majorities from 2006-2010, alot of what they have done has put us in the mess we are in, not that I don't say that both parties are not to blame.

I'm just glad they got it done.  It's too bad they almost had to wait until the stock market crashed before they decided to work together.  But, done is done, so I won't cry over spilled milk.

I don't get the politcs but I know we are not on the right track.  they are always taking from the little people but I guess thats the way its always been.  Come on what do they think all these people on social security and in there 80's are going to be able to go get a job, crap my grandson who is starting his life was laid off and it took him over 6 months and presentance to get the job his has now.  Jobs around here are few and I don't see the elderly and disabeled going out a getting jobs.  Such as myself Doctors say they don't want me doing house work so they put In Home Care for me How am I suppose to get a job if I can't clean my own house because  of my disability.  I just under went surgery for the second time not counting when I had stents put it for my heart.  I guess us little people or just sol.
