To Kohler or Admin

Hey guys,

My computer crashed and right now I'm borrowing my spouse's laptop.  However, someone is going to give me a comptuer with a Linux operating system.

Will the things on thsi site work with a Linux?

So if you see me with a different IP showing up, it's because of the borrowed computer and when I get the Linux one.

That is, until I can buy a brand new PC with Windows 7.

I don't know about the linux part but your IP address shouldn't change as you're still connecting to the same network. :wave:

Yes, I'm still connected with the same satellite service.

I hope the Linux will work though, because Linux is not as easily to get viruses and spywares as Windows is.

A good part of the site works fine with Linux, but if you do a search on the term Linux you will learn that most download tasks will not credit.

Well, I just ended up buying a brand new PC with Windows 7.

Got Firefox installed, and the FC toolbar.  So far, most things work with Firefox on here.   The IE 8 didn't work, kept getting an error.

Glad to hear it's working.  We do have users on Linux but as mentioned, download offers will not work.  Besides that, the experience is pretty much the same.
