Has any one ever been in a car accident?

I was in one a while back.  Not my fault I must add.  Some drunk SOB ran a red light and killed my car that I just bought.  I just filled it up too.  The bad thing about that was that I didn't have uninsured motorist and of course he didn't have insurance.  He ran off to Mexico and I was stuck with a big fat medical bill and I had to pay off my car that was no longer mine.  If anyone out there doesn't have uninsured motorist, get it!  I had to learn the hard way.  I was just trying to save some money and I never thought that would ever happen to me.  Personally, I think that if I didn't have my father watching over me I would have died in that accident.  You see, I had a big tin can of fudge in the back that was completely destroyed cause it was bouncing around during the incident and if it would of bounced off my head that would of killed me.  I am grateful for that.

I am sorry about your accident glad you are okay.  I was cut from my car once by jaws of life and was told by the rescue squad I shouldnt have lived through that accident.  I am thankful that I had decided at the last minute to leave my kids at home with their Dad and not have them with me.  I was hit by a drunk driver as well.  Lots of injuries and lots of bills but we made it through.  Just pray and keep your head up you will make it through this time.  It will make you stronger in the end.

In 2002 I was. I was only a couple months pregnant with my 2nd child. My husband and I were driving up a small hill with guardrails on each side. It was rainy but we didn't realize it was freezing rain. We were only going 35 and started to slide and ran into the guardrail. The truck wouldn't move so we were stuck sitting there sideways. A lady in an older Buick was coming up behind us and she couldn't stop and hit us right in the driver's side door which is where I was sitting. Glass all over my lap but not one cut on me or my husband. The lady tried to leave and my husband told her she needed to stay. Someone called police/ems because they were there minutes later. Police could barely stop it was so slippery and they closed the road. They found out I was pregnant and put me in the ambulance. I was so mad because I was fine but they had to I guess. Come to find out, the lady that hit us was over the legal limit of alcohol which is why she wanted to leave the scene. I don't know how I didn't get hurt! If it wasn't for our seatbelts we would have been dead!

No i've never been in a car accident thank god!! I am a very cautious diver especially now that I have my son. And he is the most important thing in my life. I saw a bad car accident yesterday while driving home.

I have been in more than I care to remember a few of them messed my back up bad. The worst one though was where I was with my sister in law and niece heading to the store. We lived out in the country at the time. A car came around a 90 degree turn to fast and it was sleeting outside. My sister in law managed to get our car stopped on edge of road put it in park and had emergency brake on. If not for all of that the three of us would not have made it out. Besides that I was the only one injured. Messed my knee foot and leg up real bad. Took me three months to start walking again. That was back in 2000 and I still have trouble with stairs some times even though I choose to live on the second floor lol The other driver wanted to leave she had no insurance. Both cars were totaled.

Yes, I was in a very bad accident back in 2004, but God was merciful and I came out of it without any broken bones or any bloodshed. My brother, his wife and myself were going home after we had been to my grandmother's house after she had passed away and divided her things among 6 kids. We were on Highway 57 in Illinois and hadn't gone but maybe 50 miles when a tire had a blow out and started to pull us off of the highway. My brother's wife was driving and she began to apply the brakes.We were slowing down but not fast enough. We were heading straight into a parked semi-tractor sitting on the side of the highway. My sister-in-law turned the steering wheel hard and we went into a spin and landed on the other side of the highway facing sideways as we looked up we could see the grill of an 18 wheeler heading straight towards us and just like that he hit our car and knocked us off of the highway. We went air-borne and came down the side of a ravine and rolled over several times. When we stopped we were all in shock but thankful to be alive and for God's angels watching out for us!

it was in dec 2005 my sister was driving and we were run off the it broke my back in 2 places and my right knee also it left me totally disabled but thank god im still alive.

yes About 34 yrs ago.we had been married about almost a year.My oldest daughter was about 3 months at the time.We had decided to leave her with my mil while we went to see my father.There was ice on the road and we hit some black ice.Flipped the car,I have scars on the whole right side of my head from it.All I kept saying was that I was glad we had left the baby at home.Scared the paramedics,they thought I said a baby was in the car.They searched and searched until they realized what I had said.I still have headaches from that wreck.And driving on ice is my worst nightmare.I hate it.

I was in one, but it was not as bad as yours. Nobody was injured, but our van was totaled. We were in Myrtle Beach, and some guy came out of nowhere and hit the front of the van. The engine got all mest up, and the van was totaled.

The only one that I can remember was back in 1986 when I was 6 years old. My family was going to Tulsa, OK on the Freeway in the dead of winter. There was ice, sleet and snow on the freeway. My dad was only going like 35 miles per hour when suddenly the car slid and starting to slid in circles rapidly. My mom was about 9 months pregnant with my brother. I was in the back seat screaming at the top of my lungs. The car rolled over once and landed in a ditch. Soon some nice old couple helped my family out and even let us spend the night since, there was delays at the airport. I remember this vaguely because my dad was trying everything he could to control the car and I was holding my teddy bear tightly.
Since then, I have been very grateful to have not been in a car accident since.
By the way, everyone was okay. Even my little brother in my mom's belly.

I have been in two car accidents, but neither wore all that bad.  Scared me a bit though.

OMG!  I am so sorry.  I'm not sure if this is the wrong thing to say but it wasn't permanent, was it?  I'm so glad that you made it out ok.

Yeah, I know what you mean.  My husband teases me for driving too cautious.  But because of my cautious driving I haven't had any accidents or speeding tickets.  I'm also more cautious cause of my two angels in the back seat.  But my husband still gets into minor accidents and he has gotten a few tickets.

i was not in a car accident but i got hit by a car while on my bike being two months pregnant!!!! it was hurtful on my leg but the baby is fine and doin just fine
