I went on a 3 day cruise with my family of 3(2 adults, 1 child) to the Bahamas last December for 700 dollars.  That was the total cost of the cruise with 24 hours of all you can eat food, non-alcoholic drinks, and entertainment.  I reserved the cruise with a down payment nearly a year in advance and then paid it off in installments.  If you want to drink alcoholic drinks on the ship it will cost you a nice sum before you know it and your not allowed to bring your own alcohol on the ship.  You can bring your own 2 liter of soda though.  I poured out 1/2 the pepsi, poured in rum, filled to full with more pepsi, then glued the cap back on with one small drop of super glue so that if inspections tried to twist it it wouldn't easily open.  My elaborate plan wasn't even necessary as they didn't even take the 2 liter out of my luggage to inspect it.  You can be sure that they will take out a liquor bottle if they spot it in the luggage x-ray.  Anyway, the cruise I took was on Carnival and though it might not be as swank as Disney or Royal Caribbean it is awesome.  It was 80 degrees in the Bahamas and when I came back to VA it was in the 30's with 6 inches of snow.  Planning my next cruise now for next January.

nice... most cruises are like $1000+ but $700 for three you got a good deal, I wanna go to Alaska right about now (its been 90 degree for 23 days this Summer.

YUP, My BF and I are going in Oct. For under $600 4n/5 days!

A lot of things factor in the cost of a cruise. Me personally, to go on a 3 day cruise from Miami to the Bahamas for $700 is expensive. It might be worth it from other states, not sure. The time of year you go, the cruise line, the amount of people, what type of cabin you want etc... My family and I try to go at least once a year. I like Carnival, you get the most bang for your buck. This past Spring Break it was 5 of us (2 adults and 3 kids) that went on a 7 day Western Caribbean cruise for $700/each. Don't think I'll ever go Spring Break time again, too many drunk college students

Yes I have been in cruise before and it was one of the best things I have ever made it was 4 nights cruise but not to the Bahamas it was on the Nile River in Egypt, it was between Luxor (Which is the world's greatest open air museum) and Aswan with all these temples in between. It is amazing to see all this history in real. huge difference between pictures and real thing you can't compare it

My husband has been wanting to go to Alaska since I met him. I see those commercials with the sunbathers on the cruise ship with the snow in the background and it looks great to me too. Maybe I'll have to make plans to do that when we get a chance.
