Completing Tasks
« on: July 21, 2011, 09:59:40 am »
Is it just me? Am I really that dense?  Please don't answer that.  I was just wondering if anyone else doing the tasks, especially the ones requiring you to respond on search engines are having as much diffiuculty as I am. It seems I can never get past to completion as my answers are totally wrong etc.  Any hints out there in the forum?

I know what you mean. I did those tasks once and found them impossible.  :-

I tried this too. I cannot understand them, so I gave up on it. It kept telling me that I wasn't doing it right. I am generally a smart person and can figure things out, but these are not for me.

Ok, it seems the census is: Unless someone really really smart can say they have completing the Tasks to perfection, I think I will wait to hear there secret. As yes it does take up a lot of time. After all there are many other fun things you can do on CashFusion for xtra money and enjoy it at the same time. Anyone disagree with me let me know. Have a great day everyone!

I've not had much luck with the tasks either. If you look through the thread "what offers have credited" you will find people that have been successful completing tasks. Hopefully they can offer some suggestions.

Ugghh! I tried the tasks a few times when I initially joined, but they are set up to fail IMO. Either they are ridiculously time consuming, for very little cash in return, or halfway through, they stop working. I am by no means an idiot or illiterate, I shop online all the time (because I have no time to tramp around stores) so I have the search engine descriptions down, but in those tasks you almost have to be a clairvoyant. I also don't have tons of time to even be on FC and would rather 'talk' via the forums. I know a lot of people love the tasks and do well with them - I am NOT one of those people! :P

I have not completed any of these. I have gone in to check them out but as someone before me said, it seems like alot of time involved for very little reward. If there is a secret, please let us in on it.

I've never tried these but I think I'll give it a try. Some of them sound interesting.

I did do a task yesterday so that I could get my cashout over $40. Wow, it said 30 minutes but it took more like an hour and a half or two hours. As I said earlier, alot of time for the reward you get. The one I did, I had 15 pages that I had to do. I think one trick is to catch them as soon as they come out before a bunch of people have done them. I kept getting that the URL I submitted had already been submitted so I had to find another one. I only had 2 that went quickly, the rest I spent a bunch of time on trying to find one that someone else hadn't already submitted.

I first started doing the Crowdflower tasks on Mturk when I was new there, and quickly gave up because I got tired of the "Oops! Some of your answers weren't as expected!" message. Their QA is notorious for being somewhat.... wrong.

I came back to them here, and found a few that I like doing. I like doing the categorize items, and got to the point where I could buzz through one in about 20 minutes.

I am not a big fan of the tasks either. They are very time consuming and half the time I don't do them right. Some of them are way to hard to understand.
