Kindly give her a reasonable time limit to peruse the magazine, say about a day or two.  Do you live in the same household as your sister?  If she lives elsewhere then I see your point.  It becomes a hassle to get your magazine back if the one you lend it to isn't under the same roof.  Are you on a deadline for completing your project?

It's your magazine, you paid for it, so you have the right to do with it as you wish.  Having said that, this is your sister, and to try and keep peace in the family, I'd put a time limit on how long she can have the magazine.  You can tell her why, she shouldn't be offended by it :)

Does your printer have a scanner, or do you have a standalone scanner?  If so, scan the pages you want to cut out of the magazine and save them on your computer.  If your sister fails to give you back the magazine, then you have the page(s) saved you can print out for your binder project.  If she does eventually give it back, then you can physically cut the page out and just delete the scanned one on your computer. :dontknow:

If it's a well known magazine title, it can probably be viewed online anyway. It's your subscription and you can do with it what you want. If she really needs to read that particular magazine each month, then I'm sure the public library has a copy of it, and she can go down there and read it. Sounds like she doesn't mind you paying for it, but she gets to dictate how it comes to her free.

I dont know that is a tough situation...I think you should stick with what your doing and let her know that she can buy her own magazines if the missing parts is such a problem.
