Fridays are good for garage sales but Saturdays are the best, I get up around 6 in the morning and start to set up and people are already getting off to buy by noon its already dead so I start to pack up again

These days, I'd guess it's because times are tough for pretty much everyone, including anyone who might go to a garage sale.

Saturday seems to be everyone's "get ready for the week" or "church" day...

I think most families have plans and want to relax on Sunday.

Being a garage sailor, I would say because I am usually worn out from garage sailing Fri and Sat.  Then I guess people need a day off if they have to go to work on Monday.

Most people go to church and then relax on Sundays. Saturdays really are the best day.
