Baby killed by a python.

A US couple's two-year-old daughter was strangled to death by her pet python.

Shaiunna Hare was killed when her python named Gypsy got out of its tank and squeezed its body around her head.

Mr Darnell and  Ms Hare are accused of child neglect.

Oh my God, that's so sad. It's crazy how parents can be so irresponsible as to have a pet snake in a home with a baby. A python at that. It's such a shame because there are people like me who would give anything to have children and raise them in a safe environment.

It's tragic to think how many people have these snakes in their homes around toddlers let alone to think something like this happened.  I feel so sorry for the family.  I hope this has been an eye opener to those who keep these monsters in their house.

This is one of the saddest stories I've ever heard. Who would have that danger around their child to begin with? Those parents will forever despair over this tragedy. The protection of our children is our greatest priority. To even think that having such a "pet" around children shows irresponsibility. This makes me sick of heart.

why would it do that when they only do that when they feel threatened or they are about to eat the thing that they are squeezing.
