When I say pizza delievery tipping i mean do u tip for delivery i am a delivery driver and my pay actually goes down to 5.25 plus i have to pay for my own gas so we count on tips, and for the person who gets mad when u ask for change what do u want us to do just take the money and leave. So please think about giving tips for delivery people we count on tips like waitresses but we have lots less customers and have to pay for our own gas!!!

i usually tip 5 percent for delivery just because if it is fast service they deserve something- and the delivery person isnt making much anyway and they could use it in a tough economy

5% is like nothing unless you spend a lot think about it most people dont spend 100 and even if u do thats only 5 dollars if u spend 30 on pizza 5 % is only 1.50 which is better then nothing but basically is nothing

I try and tip at least 15% when I go out to eat or bigger if the service is better or there is a large group of us. Tipping on delivery I probably tip about 10% sometimes a little more, I know that is the main money they make every night is coming from tips.

Yes I tip  both in restaurants and for delivery food.  I consider it part of the deal when eating out.  For your service person or delivery person it is part of their pay and their hourly wage is structured (lower) in consideration of the fact that tipping is considered part of the pay.  I, too, have a standard amount that I tip for delivery $5 and in restaurants generally 20% of the bill.

I definitely tip my caregivers of any kind. Waitress, maid at the hotel, delivery people, taxi drivers, hairdresser, Airport sky caps who help me with my luggage, etc. I also remember my mail carrier at Christmas (just a little something). She has come to my home to deliver big packages and picks up packages for mailing, etc., at my front door. That's service in my opinion. She has also let me pay her for stamps and such, and puts them in my mailbox the next day. Also tip my Schwans delivery guy. Anything that is service oriented deserves a tip.

However, I don't like restaurants that automatically add the tip to the bill. Some places are doing this now and that's a big turn off for me. It should be up to the customer if they want to tip or not. I always tip something, even if it's bad service, but when they start "obligating" the customer to pay a gratuity, then that's going too far.

I'll tip at restaurants where the gratuity is not included already in the bill. As far as delivery guys some of them are just meanies that don't deserve tips. Most of the time no I won't tip but some delivery places already charge for delivery anyway. The guy is already getting paid from that.

Yes I would. People work hard for their wages and salary. Between 15-20% for eating out. I have never ordered anything for delivery.

THE DELIVERY CHARGE YOU GET PAID DOES NOT GO TO THE DRIVER !!!! THAT GOES TO THE PIZZA COMPANY I AM A DELIVERY DRIVER AND THEY HAVE A 2.50 DELIVERY CHARGE THAT DOES NOT GO TO THE DRIVER OUR PAY GOES DOWN TO 5.25 WHEN WE DELIVER AND WE COUNT ON TIPS TO BALANCE OUT OUR PAY PLUS OUR OWN GAS WE HAVE TO PAY FOR.

I tip at both restaurants and food deliveries. If I eat at a restaurant for lunch, I try and tip around 15% if they do a good job. For supper, I tip more around the 20% mark. And deliveries, I just usually throw in a couple extra dollars or whatever makes the payment come out closer to what even cash I have on hand.
