Does anyone here Love the topic of health and nutrition...  :thumbsup:
I do..!  and may be writing a book on it. I am a Vegitarian for the
past four years and I know the dangers of Saturated fat.

Saturated fat ..  "animal fat"  is highly dangerous.
a lot of people do not realize this. Did you know that
Hostess cakes now in this generation adds beef fat
to their cakes only for a softener.  Why do they do this..?
Because it is a steal for them ~  rather than us a
proper oil they use this in barrels full.  And where does
this fat come from..?  It's the waste that they get from any
cow in the slaughter house and this cost " nothing for them "
not a thing. 

Be careful as you shop the grocery stores that you do
not buy too products with this in it... :angel11:  There are
many many alternatives to this and we can work together
on it if you want.  just respond to this post with any questions
or advice that you may have for Your Health.. :heart:

I believe in health and nutrition, but I'm not, nor will I ever be, a vegetarian. I like meat like chicken, fish, and some red meat. Ground turkey makes a great meat loaf. I don't eat pork at all. Hardly buy any processed food of any kind. I cook almost everyday from scratch. I would not be prone to buy any processed products like Hostess cakes, etc. I use Olive Oil or Canola Oil for cooking. I do eat real butter instead of margarine, as margarine is over processed. a lot of your "low fat" foods are not very good for you. Read some of the labels on these foods. You can't pronounce a lot of the ingredients. The best way is to prepare your own food from raw. Then you know what goes in it.

I do pattern my eating habits on the Eat Right 4 Your Type books by Dr. Adamo. I also take the vitamins and minerals created for my blood type O. I have found that by following my Type O blood, and how it breaks down foods, has helped me to eat myself back to health. I'm now following it to the tee. Not all foods are good for all blood types. It makes sense as our life is our blood, and we are what we eat. There are a list of highly beneficial foods, neutral foods (won't hurt you), and forbidden foods, for each blood type, which should never be eaten. Even though you can't eat it, it could be perfectly safe for a different blood type. It's amazingly close to what your body tells you, and you feel already. There are foods I ate before that every time I ate them, there was heartburn, indigestion, constipation, lactose intolerance, etc. Come to find out, after reading the book, those same foods were on my forbidden list all the time. Everybody's blood type and the enzymes in the blood, break down food differently. Your whole digestive system is a delicate balance and must be protected. Only approved foods will be broken down by your blood and stomach acid like they should be, and then distributes to the whole body and leads to overall health.

i so totally want to eat healthier but it's so much cheaper not to.  as soon as i pay off my debt i'm eating healthier because i'll have the money to spend

You see,  I have investigated the meet industry for year now
and can tell you that eating meat in this generation is harmful.

There are many many meat alternatives out there on the market.
Many soy and bean products of which you can get your protein
from.  Pease take a look at this video.  Thank you   ;)

I just started to realize how completely healthy many different types of beans are for you - kidney, garbanzo, butter bean, lima, black, etc.  Full of protein and fiber.  So for Health & Nutrition, that is my tid bit for the day : )

I have to agree that some of the slaughter practices and how they are not good. This YouTube video, however disturbing, is not how every type of meat is processed.

However, there are Kosher meats that have very high standards of cleanliness laws when it comes to killing livestock and meat production. Kosher foods are very clean and the Jews have a very strict code/cleanliness concerning them. I buy my meat and poultry (beef) from them, or organic/free range. You can also buy turkey raised organically as well as chickens. I almost always buy my fish fresh caught, or flash frozen without any additives (read the package). If you buy fish from your local supermarket, ask the butcher if the fish has been previously frozen. They have to tell you if it was by law. If so, do not buy it. Yes, buying food this way is expensive, but can you really put a price on good health? I have deviated from my natural diet and paid the consequences.

If I had the room, I'd raise my own chickens. We raised our own food and meat when I was young. Not all meat processing, or food processing for that matter is done the same. There are so many farmers markets with organic fruits and vegetables to be found. Of course I live in California and it's pretty easy to buy your fruits and vegetables in bulk for canning and freezing for winter consumption use. There are many organic farmers around.

A lot of our fruits and vegetables are being shipped in from places like South America, etc. Read those little sticker labels on the product, and it should tell you where it was harvested. I do not like to buy fruits and vegetables that have come from anywhere except the US. Not that ours isn't sprayed with pesticides, but at least we know which ones. Over there, we have no idea what is being used. If you can buy organic, then by all means do so.

lately ive been eating healthier. im a small girl but i still drink diet. i just dont want all the sugar. ive cut back on sugar a lot. im always making homemade meals. i hardly eat sweets. i shop for fat free products.

I've been a vegetarian for 5 years but I still eat junk. Mainly because I like it. I don't eat nearly as much as I used to though. I've cut back on that and on pop 'cause after a while it makes me feel like crap. But if I want a cupcake or a pepsi then I'm going to have it.
