abortion? or not?.....do you dare post?

this is a topic that like i said in a previous post, i am currently on the fence about. I am a firm believer in free speech and freedom in general, so I am not afraid to say I  lean both ways for several reasons. Maybe you guys can help me place my feet on the ground for this one!

pro choice.  i absolutely believe abortion should be an option.  if ur not in a position to have a kid(age etc) then you are not only going to ruin ur own life but that of your childs.

I believe the human race is all screwed up. A baby is a human being just like you and I, to kill a baby inside or outside the body is murder, JUST like if someone was to kill you or me, murder. Since most people like to put themselves before other people's lives, its okay its not you who was just created into this world from most likely someone's else stupidity and getting taken right back out, so who gives a *bleep*? Right? Since thats how most people like to think and do things now a days.

definitely a tough topic...i'm on the against abortion side because a life is a life, and if you made a mistake one night, then, well, that's the price you pay....the situation gets tricky is if the mother's life is in danger, or if the women who's pregnant was raped.....though as someone mentioned to me once, love is sacrifice, so the greatest love a mother could have would be to sacrifice it for a child (referring to the first tricky situation)....i think one solution is to provide adoption support for people who aren't in a position to take care of the kid (or if the mother was raped).....

Yes, I dare post. It's the woman's right to choose. It's unfair to bring a child into the world if they would not be growing up a good situation. Why put a child through that? They don't deserve to live a messed up life because of an ill timed conception (or other circumstances). This a subject that no one, and I mean NO ONE has the right to tell women what they can or can't do. If a woman decides to abort, then that is HER business and hers alone. NOT the government's, NOT the state's, no one but her. Period.

Ask the 911 families and survivors if Bin Laden could have been aborted.  Lots of evil in this world could be avoided if some people were aborted.

There are all sorts of arguments for and against abortion. I will not repeat them here. I am sure we have heard them all and no one will be convinced by them either way. So I will just say this. Before you get an abortion you should be required to watch a video of an actual abortion and then watch a sonogram of the baby in the womb and then make your choice.

I fully believe in a woman's right to choose.  I'm jewish but my mother is roman catholic.  She will get mad at me when I tell her how much of a hypocrite the catholic church is.  I mean they say they are against abortion but turn right around and say go ahead and have an abortion to certain people.  I mean yes the situation has to be extreme for them to grant permission but the fact is they still grant it.  If you are against abortion you are against it period no matter the situation.

I say let adoption be an option.  I put one up for adoption rather than to abort.  I still feel good about that decision years later.

I did have an abortion at one time, and when they put me under anesthesia, I stopped breathing.  I almost didn't survive it b'cos they had a very difficult time reviving me.

Abortion should be a woman's choice no matter what. There are many reasons for a woman to decide to abort. I feel its better to do that than to have the child and the child is abused or given up or gets screwed up in life. If a woman is raped and gets pregnant as a result, I believe that she has the right to end it.

I hate the very idea of abortion except in the case of rape or incest. I cannot even imagine what a woman who finds herself with child under those circumstances must feel. I don't think there are any other reasons except if having the child could cause the death of the mother. This is a horrible topic, I'm out.

If you're going to talk about who should've been aborted then might as well say most of the human race should've been aborted. Not only there is "evil" in this world there is also a lot of immaturity and ignorance that I wouldn't mind living without so does it make it right for me to say whoever I run into who is ignorant should've been aborted? Bin Laden was a bad man, but there is NO fortune teller here to say who is going to be an evil person and who is going to be a good person. Too many people think NEGATIVE, what if there was a baby who was aborted and he/she could've grown up saving people's lives? Ever think about that? Or even the fact "evil" or not a baby is a human being, if you kill a human being in or outside a body its murder just like if someone was to kill you or me, its murder. Rape, incest, or a women who has health issues that isn't going to allow her to give birth is reasonable.

Pro choice ,but I think the late term abortions should only be offered if the mother's or baby's health is at risk.
You should be able to make up your mind and have an abortion in the first few months. After that adoption is always an option.
