I don't mind if people ask me how much I make or the likes of that, but I HATE people digging around and getting nosey about my marriage. I know it isn't perfect, but in that same breath, it isn't any of their business!!

I started turning grey when I was about 15 so it's always been a pain answering questions about it.  I'm 33 now so it's better, but I still get people coming up to me and asking me if I knew I had so much grey hair.  No really?!  Unfevinbelievable!!  The grey hair is genetic as my uncle turned totally grey by 30.

The other day when I was listening to the radio station and people were talking about that they don't feel comfortable people ask how much they make or how much they weight!! How about you?!
To me, I don't like people ask me questions about my relationship/marriage, not like my relationship/marriage isn't going well, just don't feel it's their business to ask or talk!!

If they ask, just say something like "it's fine" and immediately move onto the next subject.

I pretty much agree with alot of the responses so far. I also hate when people pry into my personal life by asking dumb questions or trying to tell me what I need to change. My best friend for over 13yrs. is a perfect example.I cant even confide in her like I used to or tell her my deep dark secrets anymore because all she will do is be judgmental or respond in a negative way.She starts asking dumb questions that dont pertain to the subject, and that annoys the crap outta me! So Ive learned to keep pretty much everything to myself to avoid going through that with her.

I don't like people asking about my parenting habits or skills. I am not the perfect parent but for God's sake I don't abuse them I don't neglect them so STOP CALLING CPS ON ME PEOPLE. Okay I'm a little emotional lol I have had cps called on my 3 times in the last few months because people like to use the government system to harass me. My children are going the harassment as well and it's very frustrating that cps sees but won't acknowledge the fact that these are false reports.

So at the moment I hate cps with a passion and I'm sick and damn tired of having them come in my home and belittle me and cut me down and it burns me up to have them even set eyes on my children who don't deserve to go through this.

i understand your fustration. we've had to deal with cps before because someone called them because they were mad at us.

Why do you ask?  That's it.  Why do you ask?  So simple, yet not.  It's answering a question with a question and if everyone did that we'd never get any answers.  Get it?  Got it?  Good!

OMG THIS REMINDS ME OF A STORY - Kind of related to your topic I guess...so my fiance had his friend over the other day and he was telling us a story about this girl we know...they were over there smoking crack and blah blah blah he says.."it's not like you're pregnant or something.."  and her boyfriend says, "actually, she is, but she's going to quit soon."  WTF is wrong with people...I don't even agree with pregnant people smoking cigs when they are pregnant, let alone CRACK...are you stupid?

I like to think that I am a very approachable person, and I am pretty much comfortable talking about anything with people. However, there are 2 big subjects I like to stay away from, simply because it can get people in a bit of an uproar if you disagree even the slightest with what they may believe. Religion and Politics. I stay far from those.

I don't like people asking me when my boyfriend is going to move down. One time my boss asked that and I just said, i don't know, they then went into this huge thing on how he was leading me on and would never move down. How is that a helpful thing to say to an employee you barely know?
