PTC Sites
« on: June 20, 2011, 11:27:32 pm »
I have heard a lot of talk about these PTC sites. I had never heard of them until I read about them on here. I was wondering if someone can tell me more about them. What they are and what you have to do. How much do they usually pay?

There are alot of them out there. Some are scammers. Not all of them. But basically when you join, you click on their ads.and most of them only let you click maybe 10 ads. There are some that let you do more. But the earning really really slow.Payout are different on each site. But each click is somewhere between 0.01 and that one is with neobux. Most all I have been with have turned scam. They end up not paying.Good luck if you try them.

This is about right.  Unless you get a ton of referrals you won't earn very much from most PTC.  I earn an average of $0.10 and $0.20/day from my highest paying one, with no referrals.  Expect to make between $0.01-$0.10/ per day on any given ptc site without referrals.  If they are claiming much more, it is likely to go scam.

Some PTC sites are really good!

I use one right now.

You won't make money if you click the ads only, you need to buy referrals. (Yes, you buy them)

I have 298 bought referrals on a PTC site and I use the income from that to hold contests on my radio show.

I like PTC sites, just be careful which ones you join!

Everyone's advice here is good.  Except I no longer buy referrals, except for one site that works a little differently than the rest.  I advertise a page with my earnings and some days I get no referrals and some days I get as many as 4.  Just like everywhere else, 90% of the people do not stay active cause they can't see the big picture.  You have to earn pennies, before you can earn dollars.  If people were not so impatient they would see that through trial and error, you can find programs that work.  From one PTC I earn about $60 a month and I am still working on growing it.  I always will be because people drop out.

It is extremely important to choose the right ones.  So many of them either disappear, stop paying or change the rules in their favor every few weeks.  However, their are some very good stable ones.  Even if you join as a free member, it isn't any fun to click every day for 30-60 days and never get paid.   You will earn more if you upgrade and the upgrade fees are pretty inexpensive but be familiar with the site or get a solid recommendation from someone you know before upgrading.

Also I have found them a great place to advertise other opportunities.  Good luck!

I was really resistant to them for a long time, but I'm starting to investigate them now. I belonged to just Clixsense and instead of cashing out, rolled my earnings over into advertising for my blog. I'm playing around with a few different ones now and trying rolling over into referrals. This way I won't be spending any of my own money. It definitely doesn't take much time each day, and it will be a fun test to see how it works.

Really they're only worth it if you can get a lot of referrals!

If you're thinking about joining PTC sites, I recommend that you avoid those in the bux category. They follow a model that makes them unsustainable, and will shut down in a few months after opening.

- Self-sponsored ads. These are ads from the admin, and you will find maybe four waiting for you each day.
- The referrals you rent are bots programmed to click on a certain number of ads and then stop.
- They put a limit on the number of direct referrals you can have.

With any site you have to do your own research on how legit it is and if you get recommended by someone its a little easier to ask them direct questions and to see payment proofs from them and dont invest your own money into it at first until youve been a member for a while and keep researching what other people are saying about it still. With the legit PTC sites out there the most important thing you need is patience and more than likely you will need to invest a little amount of money in order to really benefit from being a member. I invest a maximum of $25 with any PTC, GPT, etc site of my own money.

I can't agree with this.  Especially if you are just getting started.  I belong to a few that I don't have much time to promote so I don't solicit referrals, but I still click a few ads a day at several.  I open them all in tabbed Firefox browsers so I can do about six or seven of them at the same time.  Some of them I only earn about .04 a day without referrals, however if I do seven of them in just a few minutes that is .28 a day.   Ok, not much right?  $2 a week or $8 a month, but I can use that money to buy thousands of advertising hits for the one PTC that I do promote.  I look at it as a way to generate free ad money in minutes a day.  You have to start somewhere if you are serious about making money online without risking your own.  You would be surprised at how much incorporating a few little money making tasks into your day can really add up.

I have about 10 that I have joined.  A couple have turned out to be totally bogus but some do actually pay.  I only make a but 30 to 60 dollars a month but that pays my internet bill so I figure I at least break even.  Wish we could share site info here but I guess that breaks the rules.  I agree though, it takes patience to earn from PTC sites.

This is so true.

I think they have a one-up on traffic exchanges as well, because traffic exchanges are limitless. Someone can sit and surf them for hours if they want, and your ad is just one of hundreds. With using PTC for advertising, because there are so few ads per day for someone to click on, you're getting more attention.

This isn't to say I don't like traffic exchanges, because I have had results from them using splash pages, but I think it's all a matter of taking the time to find out what type of programs you like, and being willing to play around with a few different strategies for earning and/or advertising.
