A friend of mine has a sister that's into that stuff. He had her do it and he said it was actually pretty accurate about himself. But he failed to realize
a.) the mind looks for patterns and aligns them with what is heard or seen and
b.) it was his sister.
I consider it more of an odd hobby similar to reading a horoscope-- a way to think about where you're heading and what to keep your eyes open for. Nothing wrong with that unless there's death and pain being discussed and/or if one takes it too seriously (which goes with almost everything). It has quite a rich history too apparently-

But when it gets too mystical, it gets all  ::) . If it were actually legit, it would have to be 100% spot-on accurate. And, of course, it never is. But on the other side of that, the people who think it's all demonic and satanic are just comical and facepalm-inducing when they discuss it.

Yes, I have had many readings. Depends on the reader. Some are good and some are full of it.

My husband and I do readings for each other.  I have a deck my brother bought me back in 1996, ten years before he died.  It is one of my most treasured possessions.

Tarot reading is too generalized to be taken very seriously, though.  It is more about fun and reminiscing for me when I break out my deck.

Some people have a really good sense.  I think its usually called their "6th sense".  It lets them see whats going to happen in the future.  All of us have it, but some people are more prone to it.

I have always thought Tarot Card readers were frauds. Most "fortune tellers" use generalized questions and watch your response to narrow down what applies to you specifically. I don't plan to ever waste my money or time on something like this.

Being a Christian myself, I really hate posts like HealthFreedom's because now you gave all of the non-Christians ammo in calling us crazy. Thanks. Just post a reply without bible thumping. Come on.

Tarot Card readings are like Nostradamus's predictions: they're too generalized.
An eye for an eye, and the world goes blind...

I haven't had a tarot card reading yet.  Maybe someday....I find the subject very interesting.

lol yeah there are a lot on here that are really in the deep end of crazy. I recently got accused of being a demon because I introduced skepticism into an argument. There was another that supported and spread the idea of faith healing-- even going so far as to saying they saw the healer cure someone with AIDS. Terrible Christians. But we all know there's plenty of good ones out there and I'm glad you've stood up and set the record straight.
